Can anyone please tell if parts 2 and 3 are the correctly framed and coloured versions?

Cheers

Should be, that problem was identified and fixed many, many moons ago...

I bought a Region 1 and Region 4 to find a perfect version, but they were all messed up and had to be sold on ebay.
So the framing was the first thing I checked on part 2.Now you can see marty`s auto adjusting sleeves working. So the framing has been corrected.
Silliest thing about the new set is that the Q&A session has been added to disc 4 as audio only over a blank screen instead of an audio option on the movie disc like it was on R1.

But the Q&A wasn`t scene specific so it makes no difference. They`re not going to remaster the first two discs just for that.

Anyway what did you expect from these C U Next Tuesdays? We outside the mighty states have all been royally screwed over this set, just like we have been with loads of other Universal releases.

And the audio commentaries from R1 haven`t been added. What a botch job this has been for arguably the best movie trilogy.

No, I think the commentaries are the Q&A session.
Hence not scene specific.

Oh hang on, maybe I`m wrong about that but I`m really too cheesed off to put it in and check.

Of course it matters.
Who wants to sit and watch a blank screen. Its a better idea to have it running over the movie. No remastering would be needed for the first movie which was framed correctly anyway.
There are no commentaries over and above what we have on this set on the R1.
There are many other movies, like the 007 movies that simply carry interviews or other audio clips unconnected with the onscreen action. We win out over R1 as the R2 also has,and always did have ,DTS track aswell. There is no DTS on R1

Bob Gale and Neil Canton do scene specific commentaries for 2 & 3 on the R1 set, I dont think they`re on this new set are they?

Clearly you haven`t heard of this new invention called "The Radio". It`s a new device that in fact has no screen at all. Apparently some individuals find that their attention span is such that they can listen to "The Radio" whilst allowing their eyes to do something else. For those who have difficulty with this, I believe some "The Radio"s are supplied with pictures of e.g. kittens, puppies etc, in order not to overload the poor listener`s brain.

Who wants to sit and watch a film with two blokes talking so you can`t hear what`s going on, unless they`re actually talking about something relevant to the picture? There`s no point including picture not relevant to the soundtrack - that just takes up more space that can be more effectively utilised for missing scenes etc. Not that I`m suggesting for a second that Universal consider their approach in such terms. It`s probably just luck.

And they`d have to remaster the disc to include a new soundtrack.

I wasn`t having a go at you before, btw. Just pointing out something I thought perhaps you hadn`t realised.
