RE: watch what you eat!

They had a woman on the news earlier from cancer research who said the risks associated with this colouring are vwery very mininmal.

On my own part I am very smug cos being a veggie I dont eat any of the stuff on the list because as someone said earlier it is related to the worcester sauce added to meals and as that contains fish it isnt veggie :-D Having said that it is bad the the food standards agency only picked this up because their Italian counterpart allerted them to the risk. I also heard that the colouring used is also used in boot polish *Yuk* probably a good thing that half the time we dont know what we are eating

RE: what happened to my challenges???

I only got 8 challenges available for me to make today >:-(

RE: what happened to my challenges???

that might make sense because I have 3 challenges from today that haven`t yet been accepted

what happened to my challenges???

I suddenly appear to have -3 challenges remaining instead of the 0 I left it at this morning. My mate has -2. Has anyone else got the same problem and does anyone know what this means

RE: Would you like a mobile phone mast near you ?

I think people are right to be concerned about the lack of information and research about the risks of these masts but if you dont want one near you but continue to use a mobile yourself it seems a bit nimbyish to me!

I use a mobile almost constantly but while I would be concerned of the heath risks if one were placed near me, I would feel hypocritical if I protested against it but continued to use my mobile. If we are concerned over the heath risks we should be campaigning for more research and more regulation of the companies concerned surely or alternatively stop using them!

RE: Recommend a band...

Lackloves good :-)

RE: Recommend a band...

Everyone should also check out The Bleeding Hearts. Described as "21st century fiddle driven punk folk anarchy", they are a really great band live.

Take a look and a listen at www.bleedinghearts.co.uk there`s lots to download including a whole EP and a video.

RE: council workers

well they say you dont know what you`ve got til its gone, maybe you will appreciate what they do more in future instead of taking them for granted. And yes they do deserve fair pay and if they`re (not there!!) not getting it then what choice do they have but to strike. you should be campaigning for fair pay so they go back to work quicker instead of moaning.

RE: DVD PACIFIC missing parcels

I had an order go missing and while i had to wait around 6-8 weeks for them to declare it missing and replace it, they did just that without any fuss. just email them with the invoice number

RE: Anyone see Grand Designs tonight on C4?

I love this programme :) the last series was excellent. As for this property, well, i agree with what most people have said already. It was a wonderful design that if i was staying in for a visit i would think wow!! but I wouldnt want to live there. Its nice that an old building was getting a new lease of life but i did think the couple were a bit selfish in their attitudes especially the bloke. Having said that the LFO (or whatever) definately came across as a load of upper class dinosaurs opposed to change!! And i`m sorry but 34k for a cooker is obscene, its just the worst sort of status symbol, for that price i`d want the damn thing to do the shopping and cook my bloody tea for me!!! ;)

My favourite prog from the last series was the one where the bloke lived out in the woods and built a house there almost totally out of what he could claim from the woods :)

RE: `Comfort Movies`

Its got to be so called `chick flicks` for me

Practical Magic is the outright favourite but other include
Pretty Woman
Four Weddings
Sleepless in Seattle
You`ve got Mail
Dirty Dancing...... you get the picture :/

a new favourite that is working its way into this catagory is Pirates of the Carribean :)

RE: SLOGANS TO `WELCOME` GEORGE DUBYA TO THE UK

Not my wit but the best one i`ve seen was on the t shirt of someone on the news tonight

"Somewhere in Texas there is a small village missing its idiot"

:D :D :D :D

RE: Michael Portillo as a single mum

i saw the trailer for this and i`ll definately be watching. i have never liked the bloke but hats off to him if he has done what i`m always saying polititions should do and live the life they are criticising (do you hear that two jags come and live in the rural ecomony and see how you like public transport then!! sorry thats a whole other issue <takes a deep breath>)

and thank you p 282 for reminding all us women never to have children just on the off chance we might get desserted and inadvertantly become a single mum cos that never happens does it? ok i`ve got a condom what do i do with it cos i`m sure as hell it wasnt meant to be worn by me!!

newspapers - best and worst

Seeing as there seems to be a trend for best and worst type threads i thought i`d have to start one too :) I have to hold my hands up and say i dont get any newspapaer regularly and i dont really like any of them that much but here goes for mine

best - Guardian
worst - Daily (hate) Mail

RE: You know you are going crazy when...

You`ve just stopped yourself putting your mobile phone in the oven instead of the quorn fillet for your tea :/
