DVD PACIFIC missing parcels

andyguias (Competent) posted this on Wednesday, 7th April 2004, 13:39

Hi Guy`s

I wonder if anyone else has experianced the same problem?

A few weeks back I ordererd a handful of titles from "DVD PACIFIC". I ordered them all at the same time. They sent them out in 2 shipments.
However only one has arrived!
There is no sign of the other I even asked Customs and they no nothing of it!

How long does it normally take for stuuf to get here using "priority air mail"

I`m worried as one arrived over a week ago but no sign of the other!

You should get any mail within four weeks of dispatch, but some outfits want eight weeks before they`ll call something lost. Unfortunately with a lot of US and Canadian suppliers, they wash their hands of losses unless you pay for UPS or DHL handling (which frequently costs more than the item).

Phone your local delivery office, then Royal Mail customer service. The numbers are all in the phone book. You can also make noises via www.royalmail.com. Sometimes stuff hangs around delivery offices because there`s nobody available to take out the packet van.

I`ve had stuff sent in the same shipment that have arrived a week apart. :/

Well, this is no help to you really but.....................
I have ordered several titles from Pacific in the last few months, all sent by surface mail and have been surprised how quickly they arrived, recieved two dvd`s yesterday about a week after ordering them.
In the past I have had split shipments, but all arrived approx one week after dispatch.

Do you know why they split the order? in my case one dvd was out of stock.

I had an order go missing and while i had to wait around 6-8 weeks for them to declare it missing and replace it, they did just that without any fuss. just email them with the invoice number

Hi,

I think my dvd`s have gone missing though I am going to have to wait until mid may for them to be declared so, does anyone know if dvd`s sent via international surface mail will be replaced? It is just so expensive to ship the other ways. :/

I have had no problems with them before they are usally so fast.
