Yeah Same here ive yet to find another dvd player that will play +R Most will Play +RW though (betamax vs VHS anybody?)
Any New Xbox Software Out for A chipped Xbox
Lo ppl i got a chipped xbox with software (DVD Dongle) and a program that lets me install the games on the hardrive screensavers and so on.but i was wondering if there is any kinda newer software about that i could download? atm i cant play vcd even though i was told i could.
1 other thing is it legal to rip a backup copy of a xbox original game to a dvd? and if so how do i do it..

I was Reading in a comp mag (Cant think of the name) and it said that microsoft is gonna support the +R Format and not the -R as for the philips 880 dvd recorder i have one and it plays everything even SVCD VCD -R -RW +R +RW but records on +R or +RW and on my pc i bought a sony dvd writer that supports both formats i think www.scan.co.uk are doing them for £180 delivered

If Your doing any kind of decoding it will use most of your computing resources i use nero alot with a decent setup and it nearly grinds to a halt press control del and alt and look at your cpu % and youll find its running at around 98% while decoding

Ive got a ATi Radeon 9500 pro with a 2ghz processor 512 megs ram it runs everything i throw at it around about £150 with 128 onboard ram the new fx cards are ok but very noisy

If you are only going to play with no more than 2 xboxes with system link you only need a rj45 cable anymore than 2 linked xboxes you need a hub and rj45 cables but cross over (wired different) you should get a hub and cables for around £40 ish from

www.gamespy.com when you install the gamespy software it configures everything for you, its easy, oh and btw its free and you can use a chipped xbox
