Any recommendations for a decent, FREE email provider??

Bubblegum (Competent) posted this on Saturday, 14th June 2003, 12:25

Have used several email addresses in the past, my main one was with NTL, and have also used hotmail, breathe, and yahoo.

I need one that I can use with outlook, and one that is reliable.

Dont need to be able to receive massive file attachments, and dont need a great deal of storage space, so any recommendations?

To be honest, it might be worth paying a few quid to get something you trust. I have used www.directnic.com to register domains before now - they`re dirt cheap ($15 per year) , and for another $10 per year, you can have POP3 mail (i.e. that will work with outlook). So for less than £20 a year you can have a domain name and email.

I think UK2s email service is free (www.uk2.net) but you might have to connect to thier "local call rate" number to send emails.
