right need some advice noob when it comes to networking i was a hub router so i can run an xbox downstairs for xb live and system link games also run an xbox upstairs to xb connect through my pc and another pc also i have ntl cable modem i have network cards in pc i use a hub @ mo but have to restart modem to play on xb live also money is tight this month any ideas please?

If you are only going to play with no more than 2 xboxes with system link you only need a rj45 cable anymore than 2 linked xboxes you need a hub and rj45 cables but cross over (wired different) you should get a hub and cables for around £40 ish from http://www.scan.co.uk/products/network.htm i dont know if you know but you can hook your xbox to your pc and play halo and other games online via your pc all you need is a network card and a rj45 cable you can get gamespy tunnel from www.gamespy.com when you install the gamespy software it configures everything for you, its easy, oh and btw its free and you can use a chipped xbox
