RE: Army of Darkness? Shopsmart ending?

In the film, Ash works in a place called S-mart, and their catchphrase is:

"Shop smart, shop S-mart".

I`m also looking for an edition, which has this ending, as the version I have is the directors cut.

RE: Star wars and Indiana Jones trilogy on DVD?????

My 5 star edition of the star wars trilogy arrived this morning, and it is real good quality. Much better than I expected. Picture is superb, and there are a choice of sound, DTS, dolby 5.1, or dolby 2 channel - and a choice of subtitles!
I cant understand why Lucas doesnt release a bog-standard featurless edition such as this now, and then just make a `collectors edition` or whatever when he has the time.
At least he would get the cash then, and not the pirates.

Something to think about!

RE: Star wars and Indiana Jones trilogy on DVD?????

I`m not really interested in any of the pre-cinema release stuff, but I would like the Star wars trilogy, and if they are, as mentioned previously, taken from laser discs, then the quality cant be that bad - can it?

RE: BIG BTTF Trilogy R1 News!!

I think I`ll still get the August release for £18, and then sell it on Ebay when the R1 release comes out.

Why not?

RE: Star wars and Indiana Jones trilogy on DVD?????

I`ve found them for sale on the site d9movie.com. Is it worth getting them or not? Also does anyone have any experience with this site, as they seem a bit dodgy?

Cheers!

RE: Star wars and Indiana Jones trilogy on DVD?????

To be honest mate, thats what I thought at first, but have you checked them out?
Has anyone actually got one of these sets, as I would like to know what they are like. I know that there are no features, but are the sound and picture any good?
I`ve recently sold my VHS boxsets and I would like to replace them, and these would probably do until beardie decides to release them in about 5 years

Cheers again!

Star wars and Indiana Jones trilogy on DVD?????

I`ve seen several auctions on both Ebay and yahoo for the original Star wars trilogy, and the Indiana Jones trilogy on DVD.
At first I thought that they were just bootleg VCDs, but upon further inspection, the cases actually look pukka, and apparently they are Malasian or something.
Its not just one individual selling them either, on Ebay, there are loads of different sellers, all with great feedback selling them.
Can anyone tell me if these are pukka or not, and also if there is a site which sells them, because I cannot find one.
You might want to check them out, as I thought I knew it all, but I have changed my mind!

Cheers!

RE: VERSUS!....What a movie.

Could you supply a link of where to buy it?

RE: How long can you leave your PC on for?....

How do you do a fresh install then? Does that mean taking everything off, and re-installing it?

RE: How long can you leave your PC on for?....

I recently tried to install xp, and when I did a compatibility check it said that `I could not upgrade to xp from win98`. I was then taken to the MS website, and downloaded an upgrade (to my win98) so that I could upgrade to xp, but when I checked for compatibility again, I got the same error message.

Whats that about?

Cheers for any help!

RE: Creating an application from ISO format?????

It was version 4.0. Does anyone know then if there is software which can convert an ISO image into an nrg image, which I can burn in Nero, as this is the software with which I am most familiar?

Cheers again!

RE: Creating an application from ISO format?????

I tried using discjuggler, but when I load the file, discjuggler just locks up?

There is no cue file to go with it, although from previous experiences, cue files are used with bin files, and are burned with cdrwin, not Nero. Please correct me if I`m wrong!

Any other ideas?

Mathew

Creating an application from ISO format?????

Does anyone know how to create a working cd application from an ISO file?

Any help will be much appreciated!

Cheap designer gear - where can I get some????

Is there anywhere online that sells cheap designer gear, like ralph lauren, fred perry, dkny etc etc?
I used to get this catalogue in the post which sold brands like these at less than half retail prices, but I cannot remember what the damn catalogue was called.
I`m sure that in this day and age, they would have evolved onto a website!

If anywhere knows anywhere thats sells this sort of stuff, please help

Cheers!

Mathew

RE: 24

DVD.co.uk have it £1 cheaper, check it out:

RE: Bargain cdwiter!

Do you have a website for them?

Bargain cdwiter!

Go to this site:

http://www.ukpc.tv/

They are selling a 32x12x40 Lite on CD writer for only £45.96, with VAT and delivery it works out to only £57.50.

This is the cheapest that I have found one at this spec, if anyone knows of one cheaper then please post as I will not be purchasing it for a couple of days.
Also has anyone used this company before, or know if lite on cd writers are any good?

Cheers

Upgrading a processor?

Cheers!

RE: Can I sell my ITV digibox?

It was a prepay box, with a years subscription, which ran out recently. I had arranged for them to pick it up, but no-one turned up.
But what is the deal, is any6one going to take over, and start recleiming boxes etc?
Or is the coming down the pan for good?
Also the fact that I had to wait in, and lose a possible days pay because of it!

Can I sell my ITV digibox?

I know that they have gone bust, but my years subscription with them recently ran out, and I had arranged for them to come and pick the box up yesterday (Saturday 25 May).
I had to wait in all day, but obviously nobody turned up.
I have NTL now so I have no need for the box, but if another company takes them over, I do not want them chasing me about the box. I also do not want an unused piece of equipment cluttering up my house.

What should I do, any suggestions.
I`ve seen them going for about £50 on Ebay at the moment, but can I sell it or not?

Cheers

Mathew

RE: Pint of beer

My brother told me how Wetherspoons can sell their beer so cheap. What they do is buy beer in bulk, which is near to its sell by date, hence they get it dirt cheap, but because they sell it so cheap, they get rid of it before the date is up anyway.
Also the fact that they do not play music in their establishment means that they do not need an entertainments license.

Is this total crap or not?

RE: Straw Dogs - £9.99 inc. delivery

To be honest with you, I recently bought this banned `classic`, and I didnt think it was all that it was cracked up to be. It was by no means crap, but it was far from great, I thought.

Anyone else have the same opinion?

RE: Free DVD (choice of six) - only pay 1.95 shipping

I cant beleive that anyone has actually spent £2 on one of these films, why not just watch a film on channel 5?

RE: If you could have been in any film.

Probably Christine Slater, in True Romance. He is one of the coolest on screen characters of all time, and Patricia Arquete is so smoking!

Selling VHS videos in bulk?

I`ve got about 200 VHS vids that I want to get rid of (obviously!), but I cant be bothered selling them individually on Ebay. I`ve seen some adverts in magazines for companies like film vault, and Notting hill exchanges, and I wondered if anyone can recommend them. Most of my collection are all great titles, classics etc, and all are in good condition, but I`ve seen that they penalise you if they find something not in great condition. I dont want to send them my collection, only to be ripped off.

Could someone give me some advice, and also what sort of prices do they give you, £1 per tape - more or less?

RE: Wanted: Army Of Darkness: Limited Edition 2-Disk

I think that the US version was limited to 40000 copies, and the Canadian release was only about 5000. That is why the Candian release is generally more expensive than the US even though it is the same disc

RE: Wanted: Army Of Darkness: Limited Edition 2-Disk

Keep an eye out on Ebay mate. I`ve seen them go for £50-£60, but I wont pay that price (unless I win the lottery!).

RE: 24 for £30

Has this been confirmed at all?

I`ve been to several websites, and I can find nothing about it.

Even the Fox website has no definite release date!
