I always use PLAYUSA for sub £18 items and have done for years.
What problems did you have with them.
I find it hard to believe you had worst service than from Enterprises.
I`ve also used DVD World and their prices are nothing special and neither was their service
nostalgiadvd - if you read inpector`s only other post here , you might see something of a theme - excuse me if am am just being a bit suspicious

RE: Ebuyer ... Use them at your peril

i have asked to be removed from thier mailing list now on five occasions yet i still receive their special offers... anybody know who i can complain to about this (i have already added them to blocked sender list... so they just go to the deleted box)?
Had this problem with another supplier - had to threaten to report them to their isp for spam.
RE: DVD World Usa
Stopped using them for a couple of reasons:
1. Was provided with bad advice when a package never turned up - they basically wanted me to pursue the issue with Royal Mail.
2. They charged a credit card I had used previously despite using a different card when I paid - when I complained the guy who runs the company told me they charge the first card on the list, wasn`t prepared to discuss the issue and put the phone down on me.
Even when I asked to be taken off their mailing list, I continued to receive mail for four months and had to resort to threatening to report the mail as spam to their ISP - normally wouldn`t have bothered but with the images in their mail each message was 5-10Mb in size.

Been out of town today. Did anyone get the code from the Standard today?
Missed it on Friday as well, but found elsewhere - 599726 (Thursday) and 963115 (Friday).
RE: Building a PC first time
Last time I built a system, I went for a `bundle` at a computer fair that was a processor, motherboard and memory - solves the main compatibility problems
RE: Advice please re buying a new system
Sounds like you might end up at Richer Sounds - multiregion out the box, and their warranty scheme is cheap, and you get your money back at the end if it is not used during its lifetime.
RE: Do you think our country has changed forever?
I apologise if I seem to be singling out a particular cause, but it is all too easy for one group to single out an particular group/country/race/etc simply on the basis of the fact thay do not agree with a point of view -this has happened all too often in thepast, and continues to happen.
RE: Do you think our country has changed forever?
Basically, there is no excuse for any atrocity which happens in the name of some so-called religion - and atrocities have happened in the name of most major religions, this does not excuse the actions of any extremisists, Christian, Jewish, or otherwise, who feel the need to impose their own beliefs on other people regardless of culture..
edited to correct bad speeling,,

RE: Do you think our country has changed forever?
I will start by saying that I don`t think that our country has changed - when I first moved to London in `96 it was the IRA attempting to prove their point by mindless attempts of terrorism, and now it some sad, pathetic w**nkers who felt they had to do this in the name of religion, and claimed to hate the country in which they were born - they even hated the country where they went to learn their distorted view of an otherwise acceptable religion.
I apologise if this sounds extreme, but just by luck I escaped what happened on my journey to work, and now I walk past the tributes at Liverpool St each day now and wonder what was the f**kin point of it - killing people you don`t even know, let alone have the ability to judge, in the name of a distorted view of religion.
Nine Inch Nails - Brixton
Saw them tonight for about the first time in ten years - glad I kept the ticket rather than putting it on eBay - SUPERB!!
RE: no csi end of season
No, I`m sorry - I have to disagree - I think that I am totally incapable of deciding for myself.
Excuse the sarcasm - I couldn`t believe ch5 felt the need to pull this,,
RE: Big Brother 2005
I`m just glad I was on holiday when it all started - no interest whatsoever.
A certain Mr Connelly summed it up - doing nothing sitting in the house watching a bunch of people sitting in the house. Interesting or what??
RE: Surround sound query; optical or wire.
To agree with Chris - I`ve used the both types with the same DVD and amp - only someone who is superhuman would notice a difference.
The only reason to use optical cables specifically might be where a longer cable in needed, but for a standard metre long cable I would just go for whatever`s easier for the kit you`ve got..
RE: the end of an era (a.k.a I`m too old and I`m selling my turntables and records)
Don`t do it - I`m always amazed when I pull out some old vinyl, and it sounds great compared to CD.

RE: Extended Warranties on plasma screens
It may also be worth considering buying from John Lewis - their five year warranty is free, although they are more expensive than buying online.
Just make sure you find the cheapest high street price before you buy - its their policy to do a price match.
Alternatively, the Richer Sounds Supercare policies are pretty good value - money back at the end of the warranty period if the policy isn`t used.
RE: Surround sound query.
your other option, assuming its a standard Sky box, would be to run a standard audio (phono) cable from the audio out on the TV (if available) to the amp, and turn off the speakers on the TV
RE: US Pay as you go
Cheers Rass - will have a look when I get there.
Should be mainly in the the main cities in Texas, so would expect to be OK signal-wise
RE: US Pay as you go
so its safe to assume most networks such as Verizon provide them?
I know my phone`s tri-band, but don`t want to give the work SIM a hammering..for obvious reasons :)
RE: Great cover versions
`The King`, who was actually a Belfast postie released a couple of superb cover CD`s. Some of the tracks were as good, if not better than the originals.
From memory these included:
Pretty Vacant (SexPistols)
Whole Lotta Rosie (AC/DC)
Love Will Tear Us Apart (Joy Division)
Sittin on the Dock of the Bay (Otis Redding)
Whisky in the Jar (Thin Lizzy)
Come As You Are (Nirvana)
Superb!!
US Pay as you go
Will be in the US in just over a month, and was just wondering if anybody knew, or could recommend a pay as u go deal for while I am over there - it will just be SIM only with no expiry, so I can reuse the SIM card?
RE: want to go to amsterdam late july.. any package recomendations?
been twice in the past two years - both times booked flights with easyjet, and hotels on expedia.
july`s possibly one of the most expensive times though..
RE: Kasabian - WOW!!!
glad to hear they`re a good live band - got tickets to see them in about six weeks :)
RE: ANALOGUE to DIGITAL
its going to have to be a separate freeview, sky, or cable box - the receiver in your set will be redundant
RE: Kids stuff in Edinburgh/borders
It`s Deep Sea World, but it is the first junction after you cross the Forth Bridge into Fife (North Queensferry).

RE: 37
Sport can look a bit off, but it is usually the fault of the broadcaster - try a non-Premiership/Championship game on Sky, where the production facilities are limited.
Basically, a plasma/LCD is more likely to show up any shortcomings in the original signal due to the higher resolutions that they are capable of displaying - they don`t improve a poor original signal.
As for HDMI, a number of plasmas now come with a DVI connector which apparently will be suitable for Sky`s hi-def service if it has HDCP capability.
RE: Need Help with PC please!.....Bleeping noise, won`t boot.
It would be worth taking out and reseating any memory modules, and add-in cards - these may have been dislodged.
RE: 37
The Hitachi 42" PD5200 scrapes in under that price if you buy on line - comes with a table-top stand and speakers, but no freeview, although might be worth considering buying a freeview box if you dont have sky/cable.
You can see the difference side-by side with the smaller 36/37" in the same range.
Update - bought mine here www.flatdeal.com/42pd5200.htm?dealtime - no problems, and now likes like they`re giving away a free 17" LCD.

RE: The Cinema Poll - I`m Staggered!!!
I`m lucky if I go every other month - then its either the Gallery at the filmworks in Greenwich if its a special trip, otherwise the early bird special at the UGC in Enfield. My local cinema (now closed) was an absolute fleapit with a shoddy sound system.
Seems to defeat the purpose of having spent the money on a large screen, decent sound system, and a couple of big settees, when you have a pile of unwatched DVD`s at home but travel to a cinema to watch any old film just because it`s on.
Agree with chewie with the selection in Edinburgh (used to live there) - the Dominion was really comfy, but limited itself to `family` films. The Cameo used to do great late night double bills starting at midnight - it used to feel pretty weird walking home from a cinema at four in the morning...

RE: What`s your favourite DVD extra?
Most recent one has got to be Jack Attack on the second disc of The Incredibles - cracks me up every time
