In a little more detail and obscure enough not to need spoilering, if that's a word.

Likes.
New Theme tune.
Them, they haven't changed.
Unsubtle nods towards Top Gear and the Beeb which I didn't think were particularly unkind.

Dislikes.
Celebrity overkill (deliberate), because we can afford it.
Way over edited RAF section, reason, see above.
The American
Oh and did I say The American.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary

I have watched it now. I didn't like it. It doesn't help that I don't give a s*** about cars and never was a top gears fan, but it was also way too long.

Fair enough
10/10 though for persistence if you made the whole 70 mins.

I'm not trying to be contrary and most seem to like it, including critics, but bloke tv is not really my thang.  Don't dislike Clarkson, et al (although they have said/done some stupid things). Watched it late last night and was willing it to end, but just like when I start reading a bad book, I consider it as an act of character building indurance (my proudest moment watching entirety of Tree of Life in one sitting.)

Awful theme tune, really up itself with the introduction, awful theme tune, the desk they sit around looks like a wallpaper pasting board, The American is a really poor repetitive gag, the new track is rubbish...

...but the rest of it was same old Top Gear.

We'll have to agree to differ on the theme tune but what track or genre would you have picked?
I wonder how many they've already got in the can and therefore how soon they can tweak anything.
Maybe if they stopped feeding The American they could get him out of the car before the series ends.

I laughed lots too.
When talking about the theme tune, what are you actually referring to?
I can't recall it. Wasn't the opening episode just The Hothouse Flowers (who I thought were absolutely superb) or did it 'open' again?

Enjoyed this weeks, but I prefer it when they at least pretend that it isn't scripted.
