Refereeing Decisions

mbilko (Elite) posted this on Sunday, 8th April 2012, 00:44

After seeing the highlights of the Chelsea game I have to say something needs to be done about the standards, how the ref, linesman and 4th official can miss such a blatant off side (1st goal) which could make such a difference at the top and bottom is beyond me. In any other league in the world it would be considered criminal/cheating by the officials and while I dont think that, and assuming i am right, then the match officials should be banned for incompetence. The 2nd one at least I get that it could have been missed, but the 1st?

I do admire the way Wigan players surrounded the referee but actually kept their composure about the first goal.

But only video replays are going to help, we`ve already seen how much of a waste of time goal line officials are. And the FA and FIFA are just so draconian I can`t see us getting them soon.

Just imagine if they were exposed to  Gollum/Underhill/McDonald/Thomson/Dallas and the rest of the scheitte we get/used to get up here. FFS Gollum must be the b***ard child of Dallas. Fast track to UEFA and yet still not good enough to referee an under 11 game.
The game in Scotland is doomed, poor product and referees making the games even lees enjoyable. In the last few years most of the talk after games (Won or lost) has been about the scheitte officials.  Says it all when even the Old Firm start moaning about officials

What about the Man U game? there have been loads in the EPL, I am sure La Liga, Serie A, so not sure why u would think the scottish game is better or worse for officials, my point stands, players should be banned for month at a time when caught cheating, and officials banned for incompetence

And another one, Balotelli could have been sent of at least twice, maybe 3 times (not even booked for the 1st assault?), and his manager was the only person watching the game at the stadium or on tv who was not 100% confident he would be sent off if he wasnt taken off.....muppet

Sorry mbilko mate but the harsh reality is that the current officials in Scotland are the worst I can ever remember. Yes the referees in England have had a few bad ones recently but they are still head and shoulders above the droass we have to put up with. Collum is without doubt the poorest referee in Scotland. To think this cretin is actually a FIFA graded referee is a sick joke.
Other examples of the garbage officials in Scotland follow

Dougie McDonald admitted lying, Hugh Dallas aided and abetted the lying and attempted to cover it up.

Craig Thomson is repeatedly shown getting important decisions wrong .

Wullie Collum stated the following after sending a Falkirk player off three weeks ago "I sent him off because his tackle was too fast"  even though the linesman , 40 yards closer, saw phuq all wrong with the tackle.

Iain Brines, great advert for the boys in blue this phanny. Dropped a couple of seasons ago then miraculously reinstated.

I am sorry mate but the game up here at times, many many many many many times  is ruined by petty vindictive and malicious scheittebags like Collum and his "Brethren".
The harsh reality is that the quality of the football and the game as a whole is dying on its sphincter and the sad aspect is that the current crop of officials are degrading the game even more.

BTW, give me a Premiershiip official any day over the dross we have.

Our officials couldnt have gotten the Chelsea, Man U or Arsenal calls any more wrong if they were paid too, because our officials are poor (and they are) doesnt make it all right for everyone else to be!! Something has to be done and the sooner the better, I would hate QPR, Wigan et al to be relegated because of some frankly criminal calls by the men in black.
