Amazing!!

What do you reckon? Another dawn of exciting football for the Geordies or too much expectation culminating in Keegan quiting another managers post yet again??

It would be the same thoughts if King Kenny returned to Liverpool, Every fan would hope so.
Good luck to Keegan.

As I said in the original thread, ludicrous decision.

The best thing is they have definitely been knocked back from Redknapp and probably Hughes (he ruled himself out, so can`t be certain an offer was made) and I`m sure feelers for other top European managers have been that have been unsuccessful so they have opted for the easy option and appointed Keegan after the fans called for him.

Keegan only brought success when they were outspending their rivals and they aren`t going to be able to do that now, so I don`t foresee any "glory" coming their way any time soon.

Must laugh about how they have been talking about the Glory years when Keegan brought Shearer in but they actually went downhill after his signing from the previous years (Keegan didn`t even see out one season with Shearer did he?)

Wonder how Joey Barton feels?

He sure as hell doesnt play the type of football associated with Keegan and to be fair if i was Kevin id get rid as the club could really do without him......come to think of it so could the league, actually scratch that so could football....just dont see a place for good old chavvy joey....i would say more but i fear a gag of hoodies are on their way round mine as we speak :)

They`ve actually been suggesting that it was his brief word with the players that bought forth the 4.1 win tonight.
I expect he`ll be holding court tomorrow and laying hands on the sick and lame.

Hahahahaha! 12 months from now, a bald Kevin Keegan departs from St James` not being able to cope with the pressure anymore, and Newcastle are back to square one having got nowhere again.

I wish him luck but I just dont see it going anywhere. I think its going to be one big disaster. I just can`t see Newcastle attracting the calibar of players that he managed last time. So I thimk hes going to spend big to get decent players but I just can`t see them even getting in Europe let alone even winning anything.

If he goes for all out attacking football I think the top 5 or 6 have the players to just tear them apart and the mid table clubs are good enough at stifiling opposition to get some draws.

Time will tell but I dont think he will make it till xmas time in all honesty.

On a side note it must the most overrated club in the premiership so if they go down it will be funny.
