Just wondering, do they post through the letterbox? As I`ve got a large order & wont be in this week to collect it. =**(
it`s meant to be recorded mail and you have to sign for it but I`ve ordered severel DVDs off them and never had to sign, they`ve just been on my mat when I wake up. If they do need a signiture they`ll keep it at the depot and drop you a postcard with the details.

RE: Play.com Delivery Method
Cheers mate.
If its a Region 2 DVD (but not including `bargain` DVD`s) they tend to send it Recorded. Everything else inluding CD`s and Region 1 DVD`s they send normally. Etiher way, if you`re not in the helpful postie will hold it at the post office for you.
i have to sing the praises of play.com
unlike most order companies they deliver each dvd in a single jiffy bag so you dont have to pick them up from the post-office when you order several (as has happened to me several times) plus this also allows you to order several dvds and not have to wait till they are all in stock. most recorded deliverys these days are actually self-signed by the postman which is considered the same as if you accept the thing yourself.
I think to some extent it depends on the individual postman/woman. Ours are always delivered whether we`re in or not, but a friend has to collect any delivered when he`s not at home from the depot or ask for them to be delivered on a day when he know he`ll be in.
Can i jump aboard and ask why they dont say "posted" on the updates page on play anymore. I orderd some dvd`s but im not sure what their status in, when i log in it says i have no outstanding orders?
It`s split between order history and pending orders. Posted ones get moved the history.
