...does a latent image last?
Here's a little prod to those who have any old rolls of film or single use cameras cluttering up the 'odds and sods' drawer.
I'm ashamed to admit that includes me.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary
I've got loads of undeveloped film that's over 20 years old, including large and medium format. For the small fortune it would cost, I don't think I'll bother...
It's a shame! Well maybe not, not sure what you have undeveloped film of. :)
I suspect now is the cheapest time to buy development equipment, you can get colour enlargers off ebay for under £50 including delivery these days. I remember when you would pay over £100+ for a B&W one.

It's probably mostly stuff not worth bothering with; test shots, old student stuff, god knows... Don't think there'll be any earth-shattering historical pics. It's mostly transparency I think.
I've still got a little rotary machine for developing film knocking about somewhere, which will go all the way up to sheet film sizes, but I think I'd need a big old enlarger to do the medium and large format film - oh, and a darkroom. Colour is much more fussy about temperature and light-leaks than b&w.
Used to love developing and printing. Was pretty skill at loading 35mm film holders. The good old days!

Ahh. The smell of D76 and the hours spent dunking reels in the 15 litre tanks.
....and don't whatever you do use Gordon's cos it's been replenished over so many years it has life forms in it unknown to David Attenborough.
Used to be a science all of it's own.
There's a complete B&W darkroom packed away up in my loft. Maybe I'll pick the right 6 numbers one day and convert the loft and have it all set up.
I plan on taking mine in a couple at a time as there's probably stuff on there that's family and worth keeping.

Me too plus wondering if they still sell the films?
I loved the idea of developing my own film, back when I had my Pentax ME Super. But it was too expensive. :(
Film itself was pricey enough. :/
Now I don't have the time or the inclination, I'd like to give it a go one day just to try it but not with my own stuff. ;)
