Page 1 of Thunderbird

Does anyone use this program.
I've used it for my email for years yet suddenly it asks for my password and says it's incorrect.
It worked perfectly yesterday but I suddenly see two emails in my sent folder dated 25th Jan with the title 'unsubscribe followed by a load of gobbeldee gook and at mailin.mcvs.net
but nothing in the body of the email. Needless to say I didn't send them.

I can access the account perfectly well via the browser or on my Samsung phone app. Both with the password Thunderbird says is wrong.
Any ideas folks.

I've had to give up on Thunderbird after Sky/Yahoo went browser only a couple of years ago, despite all my login & POP3/STMP credentials being correct. A full day's googling led me to that information but now I've kinda got used to it. 

I can't even get my own emails via my work gmail (which I was formerly able to). They really want to be able to hold you to ransom should they ever feel the need to.

I use it, and yes, that sometimes happens, i just press ok/cancel and it sorts itself out without me entering password again.

actually, what email provider is it? if it's something like yahoo, you have to authenticate again, you should have had an email from yahoo or whoever telling you that

My Flickr Photostream

It's a sky dot com email which is to say Yahoo.
As I said I can log on direct to Yahoo on the browser and the Yahoo app works on my phone.

I haven't had any emails from Yahoo or seen any alerts about Thunderbird not working or being altered.

Maybe and maybe not.
That all dates from November 2019, if the dates are American format, and everything's been tickety boo up until today.
As it says in the comments they may not support it or offer advice but I don't think they actually block it.

found the email i had from yahoo, i remember now, I had to remove, and add again

I guess it's cos yahoo don't really want you to use a client, they want you to read the adverts there

Okay tried all that and get a nice yellow band announcement.

'Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password'

With the the added bonus I've now lost all my email history.
Blank, bugger all there.
