Suggestions needed for a decent tablet around the £100 range
Annie`s looking at getting a tablet, but she`s a bit lost when it comes to things techy, so I`ve had a quick look around Argos and spotted a few (as a guide). Are the cheaper, not well-known brands worth a shot, or should I concentrate on the more well known names like Acer or HP?
I`m dead set against an iPad, partly because they`re so bloody expensive, but mainly because I hate everything about Apple. Spotted this one with the Jelybean OS, but as I mentioned, it`s an unknown brand (to me at least)

or the specs on this one look favourable

Argos ebay are selling recon Nexus 7 "without extras" which means you need to buy a micro usb charger which Amazon sell for a couple of quid. I'n using my mobile atm so can't give you a link, just search argos ebay on hotukdeals it was these today. There is also an Argos deal on a 7" HP tablet for around £70 but I didn't read the hot deals thread as I didn't want another 7" tablet"

I gave my wife the iPad 3 after I had use of a Galaxy tab for a few days. I'm now saving to buy my own. Don't get me wrong, i loved the iPad but I can just do so much more with the Galaxy.

should have said, 8"-9" please.Sorry Pete, in my experience they`re mutually exclusive... The cheap Android tablets are cheap for a reason. Those cheap Nexus`s are a bargain - they`re superb - but `only` 7"..
Really, 8-9" tablet for £100???
Ste
We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..

If I`d bloody known, you could have had my Nexus 7 on Monday - I only got £80 trade in for it!!!
Oh, and I agree with what the others are telling you. I would strongly suggest you stick with Nexus 7 or Kindle Fire HD - pay the extra (both around £150) and accept the size - everything else in the £100-£200 price range is a waste of time!

RE: Suggestions needed for a decent tablet around the £100 range
we bought a generic 9" Android one of FleBay for about £70 back in June for the eldest 6th birthday... has performed faultlessly.
For the money I couldn't justify an Apple-product... this does everything she wants plays games, surfs interweb, takes pictures, etc.
