Page 1 of Toshiba SD210E - urgent honest opinions!

Right, I`m just off the horn with Richer Sounds and they`ve got 1 of these puppies, multi regioned at £200.

Don`t want ripped off again as I was with the Scan so I need honest opinions about the machine and the picture quality etc.

It gets bells & whistles in all the mags but the S**n did in most mags too so let me know ASAP as the little feller`s going to hang it for me for a couple of days.

At the price it is the muts nuts.

Well ive got the scan and no blockiness/pixels here :)

But am wondering if the Tosh 210 is really worth getting over it though...

I got a feeling its gonna be the same picture sound quality...
but please post if its any good or not !

I`ve got an "earlier" Scan and it sucks the big one.

The tosh210 is a superb player.

I regret having to give mine up, but the noisy drive whilst in play mode was too much for me.

It definately has the best picture and sound quality of any player i have seen.

I got one today on Richer Sounds 14 day money back deal if I wasn`t impressed - I`m impressed though as through the RGB scart on my Philips it looks and sounds gallus. Spaced is amazing both looking and sounding.

Have relegated the Scan to the bedroom as on the portable nicam the picture doesn`t have the big screen opportunity to bugger things up too much.

I had the Scan too, and tried out a friends Toshiba 210E for a few days.

The picture is great and the sound, but the things missing for me were

- When playing MP3, it only shows Track Number !, you haven`t got a clue what you`re listening to.
- Only one scart. The scan had RGB pass through on scart 2.

I`m considering getting the Pioneer DV-545 (£229) instead, has MP3 names, 2 scarts and plays DVD writeables.

Anyone have any thoughts on the Pioneer ?

Hmm aint seen any reviews on that one, but really im starting too think Picture/Sound is what matters most.

I still will wait for the upgrade Tosh cos I dont like the idea of a DVD player being so noisy :)

I agree. If we wanted noise we would buy an old vhs top loader. Ah those were the days. But seriously i myself have a scan player which is pretty decent on most discs. A few discs seem to pixelate a bit. Mine being seven (2 disc edition) and entrapment. But overall ive been pleased with it.

I`m sorry, are you really comparing a Toshiba to a Scam?

If you order from scam your asking for trouble, just read their great reviews on this site!!!!
