When i switch to RGB mode on my Sony TV when watching a DVD on my Pioneer DV-340 i just get sound. But the RGB works with my sky box. My DVD player is connected like this. DVD connected to sky box, sky box connected to tv in AV1 socket. Please help.

I "think" youll need to change the DVD player to output RGB aswell as the TV ( Should be in the menus somewhere )

It is outputting RGB.

Is the scart from DVD to sky box a "fully wired" one (i.e. with the RGB cables intact?). You could try running the sky>TV scart straight from DVD > TV to see what happens....

SKY boxes are notoriously crap for this. Chances are your make of SKY box doesn`t ` do ` RGB loopthrough. Only, I think, Pace and Panasonic do. I don`t think Grundig does.Even if they do support it they usually affect the picture somehow. There are 2 ways round this.Both involve disconnecting the DVD from the SKY box. 1/ You waste money on some god awful 2 into 1 scart connector... 2/ You keep the SKY connected to AV1 (RGB) and connect the DVD to AV2 (S-VHS). Remember and change the DVD output to S-VHS. Try it. Chances are you won`t notice the difference in DVD picture between RGB and S-VHS. Most people don`t. Direct connection`s the only way to go !!!

Grundig Digiboxes do output an RGB signal.

Forgive me if I`m wrong, but I thought the pioneer DV340 didn`t have RGB through it`s scart and was mainly an S-VID player, which would explain why you would be having trouble using a dedicated RGB channel.
Some tv`s have AV1 and an RGB channel through the same scart, where by you would get composite at AV1 and RGB would be a seperate channel where only the RGB signal would be played back properly.
You say that you switch to RGB mode on your sony tv, so this does sound like the case.
