Instead of predicting whose going to die this year, how about retailers to fold....
To start it off, i will give my 5 predictions...
1. Argos
2. WH Smiths
3. Pets at Home
4. Staples
5. Iceland (despite Chav mums shopping in there!)

WHS was dodgy a few years ago & none of the stores I have been into since 2009 & on odd trips back are any different with well trodden carpet that hasn`t been changed in years certainly true of Exeter. They are useful for stocking up on lots of galaxy chocolate at the airport quite cheaply.
Staples I think is fairly safe as a worldwide brand.
OK fingers not exactly on the pulse here but based on what I saw while I was there last:

Currys (Despite Comet).
My outlook on life is positive & carefree, I`m positive that I`m a pessimist & I don`t care what what you think.
Never has so little had to be explained by me to so many so often.

1) Wickes - Only because every time I go in one they have feck all I need!

ummmmmmm.... Halfrauds, really hadnt thought about them! Used them for the first time in years recentyl as needed a rear brake bulb, lady in there needed a front headlight bulb for her Focus... the spotty oik behind the counter told her they needed to be replaced in pairs as it could cause an electrical issue... and that they would only charge her £5 to fit them if she had two...
I had a word in her ear, told her to buy one, i then fitted it for her in under two minutes... she wanted to give me some money for saving her money which i declined, i told her i hate to see people being taken advantage of buy retailers like this... they dont offer a service!
On my soap box now, when i was a Retail Manager for both Woolworths, and Superdrug, i would regularly deliver shopping to peoples home addresses on my way home... especially for the old dears, we formed an important part of their social life, somewhere to come and talk to people... its the one thing about retail i miss, is the people (well most of them!).

I had the same kind of thing happen in Comet. Was walking through the store & heard a salesman telling an oap she had to buy a moster scart cable costing £50 if she wanted to buy a £30 dvd player. Went over to her & had a word. Was then told I wasn`t welcome in that store anymore.
