Virginmedia customers.... how much is yours going up by?
Got a letter today but apparently it was announced a day or so ago..
My package (30Mb broadband and phone) is going up by £2.10 a month. And the phone `evening` is going from 6pm-6am to 7pm-7am (like BT).
What a shock of them to follow the speed increase announcements with this.

We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..

don`t know, not had a letter yet, but I saw that Tivo charges are going up from £3 extra pm to £5 extra pm, so still not sure whether to get one or not :(
am tempted if I know it will fix my problem of Sky 1 HD won`t record properly if I`m recording another HD channel :(

He rang up Virgin, spoke to a nice Indian lady who pretended to be English, and the solution to not being able to view the second programme? Delete the second programme. She thought the answer was as silly as he did.

Four and a half quid and a slap in the face on the back of the recently announced `free` speed upgrades. For the past few days NNTP traffic has been at a crawl - I`m talking 200-300KB/sec instead of the 6MB/sec it should be, and no on at VM has even acknowledged the issue. I spent an infuriating hour on the phone to call centres in India today speaking to people who don`t know their arses from their elbows with absolutely no progress. Apparently it could be due to a damaged underwater cable in Amsterdam, but I found that out by reading another forum.
They have been in steady decline since they rebranded as VM. Terrible customer service, price increase upon prince increase (this is the fourth in a year) while offering nothing for established customers. They really do suck.

We`ve just cancelled our TV package altogether with them. It`s mostly crap anyway, and for how much we watch out of the huge numbers of channels there are is minimal compared to what we watch its just not worth it. Sad, but if prices are going up and wages are going down, then something`s got to give. Going Freeview.
The internet service hasn`t been that great of late either. It always seems to crawl at weekends, and the router doesn`t even work at all over the weekend!

My BB service has been abysmal recently - especially at the weekends. Swear dial up was faster!
And your write - I`m on the smallest TV package and it`s crap. Have FreeSat upstairs so when I next decorate sending the cable downstairs.

That sentence made sense when I was thinking it! :D
We`re on XL here badboy, and outside of one or two programmes (I`m thinking Dexter and Walking Dead) there`s nothing else we`re bothered with. It`s just pricey for what you actually get. From looking at Sky that`s no better, so Freeview it is.

Don`t know about Virgin but my fecking mortgage keeps going up even with rates so low.... allegedly it`s something to do with the rate at which lenders charge each other which in my view loosely means how much we can screw you for!!
Be thankful it`s only £2.10, my lender plonked £21.40 on my monthly DD just this week. ****ers!

Don`t know what`s happening with my VM bill. They`re promising to double me up to 100Mb, then up it again to 120Mb. They haven`t said whether that means I`ll be upped to whatever 120Mb will cost. I`m hoping it`ll mean the 100/120Mb price will be dropped to the current 50Mb price, but I`m not confident...
