People I`d like to see removed from the Internet

RJS (undefined) posted this on Sunday, 11th December 2011, 22:13

1) Anyone who answers a question posted on a forum like, "how do I convert a .flac file to .mp3?" with a reply like, "why would you want to do that? flac is much better quality"

Bloody dangerous stuff, Di-hydrogen Monoxide. In combination with the oxygen in the air, it makes iron rust away to nothing. Too much of it and it`ll fill your lungs up and stop you breathing. I`ve heard tell it`s responsible for all the land erosion on the planet and the sinking of the Titanic.

I agree, the internet is full of lazy people posting questions they could find the answers for themselves.
Being pandered to by people rushing to be the first to answer them.

That`s why everyone should reply using the www.lmgtfy.com URLs
They may (eventually) get the idea.

It`s what I did for my father-in-law who consistently asks questions he should have just put in to Google...eventually he took the hint.

But they`re still getting the answer.
So they`ve still `won`.
I`d rather see people ignore them competely.
But someone always has to be the one to answer.....
Like they win a prize or something.

That`s cos there`s lots of people out there get a wee fuzzy feeling by helping people regardless how simple the task or problem.

Maybe what we need to remove from the interwebs is people who complain about those asking questions on forums <koff>

;)

Actually, it was googling for that very answer that took me to a forum where someone made the answer that started this thread off!

And the flaw in your argument is most of the other results are for lame ass commercial software to do the same thing as free stuff, that they`ve spent ages spamming forums like this one to boost their google ratings. :p
