Some sections of Devil May Cry are jawdropping with the scenery and eerie soundtrack. A game which looks good (but not as stunning as DMC) is Grand Theft Auto 3 - great playability and one of my best games of all time. I just love going upto people in the street and smashing them to a pulp with a baseball bat. I enjoy playing GTA3 quite a bit as well.
Also try Tony Hawks 3. Looks good - compare it to the Dreamcast version of TH2 which is the next best thing and you`ll see that the PS2 is the king of the consoles.
If you REALLY want to see what the PS2 can do though you`ll have to wait until February and get Metal Gear Solid 2 which looks the dogs b******s.

i treated myself to a PS2 this year, and for £260 i got 3 games 2 off a list they had and one off the shelve i picked Zone OF The Enders, Red Faction and Devil May Cry, and let me say DMC is abosolutly amazing, i`ve always liked capcoms games but this is the finest they`ve done to date.

jak and Daxter is visually stunning, its also a great game all be it a little short to.

Try Time Crisis 2 (needs a light gun but the old G-Con 45 works so you don`t have to buy a new one) It plays exactly like the arcade version. Avoid Pro-Evolution Soccer and GTA3 as the gameplay is good but the graphics are crap. James Bond: Agent under Fire looks quite promising although I have only just started it.

Try Grand Turismo - the graphics are amazing although the gameplay can get a bit limited after a while.
Alternatively, SSX Tricky is the best snowboarding game around.

Yeah Metal Gear Solid 2 is the nutz. I`ve only played the demo which came with Zone Of Enders and my mate was blown away.
Could be best game ever.
I really enjoyed GTA3 the sheer size is a bonus and although I`ve only just finished the story mode I`ve only completed 35% of the game. Plenty of mini-missions to do.
Graphics wise I have to agree on Devil May Cry...so stylish.
My fave games tho are:
NBA Street Resident Evil Code Veronica Pro Evolution Soccer Grand Theft Auto 3
and Silent Hill 2...creepiest and most atmospheric game on the system.

devil may cry graphics wise.gta 3 for sheer fun.the big test is gonna be metal gear 2.shame its been delayed for two weeks though. check out state of emergency next friday,its basically gta 3 but without the driving.
