Brooky (Elite) posted this on Wednesday, 3rd October 2007, 20:16

Now didn`t get much of a respond on the other thread the one where a gent is 38 n his ladyfriend is 23. Wondering is it fair game when the lady is the older one and her friend is the younger one? Why is it unfair and why by our own females friends critcized? and let`s be honest , been there , been put down by a few, don`t care to mention names. :¦ Care to state your opinion on this?I bet not!!

I`ll state my opinion....Go for it girl! If a lady wants "a toy boy" whos to argue. Reason other women have a problem is pure jealousy.

Reason I can say this is my wife is older than me.

(on a few months but shes still older........)

I don`t see any problem in it, though for some reason it does seem more commonplace to find older men with younger women. Go figure.

I went out with a 34 year old when I was 25, had a great time. We had the same interests, I didn`t feel obligated to go out clubbing or anything like that, I felt really quite comfortable in that relationship. The only thing that put me off was the amount of makeup she wore. I still remember a bit of a shock when I saw her without it for the first time.

When my great-grandmother (who looked very prim and proper in photographs) was in her 60s, she married her 3rd or 4th husband - her 20-something lodger. :o

My wife if 10 years older than me and it`s no probs. At first it took our friends a while to get used to it but now when we meet people for the first time they don`t even notice.

if both people in the relationship are happy and there is no element of gold digging, cheating, messing the other party about then there is no problem in my opinion

no matter whether it is the male or the female as the older of the 2

As much as I say `good luck` to couples with age differences of more than a few years, my stomach does turn when I see age differences of 40+ and I start to question their motives.
