I was actually talking to a bloke from work today about going to Vegas, he was saying that he went on Helicopter tour of Grand Canyon and it only cost around $75 each. He also said there`s a boat tour on it aswell that he says is supposed to be really good but wasn`t sure how much they cost.

I`m going in October so this thread will save me having to start one around then ;)

Yep, I`d second the Grand Canyon helicopter trip - well worth it.

Also have a go on the rollercoaster at New York, New York, and the X-Scream at the top of the Stratosphere is a laugh if you`re not scared of heights.

If you`re there with a lady-friend and want to get a bit of romance going on then book a table on the balcony at Olive`s restaurant at the Bellagio - it`s on the edge of the big lake where all the fountains go off in time to music - it`s fantastic.

If you want to play on the slots then go to the casinos at either end of the strip (The Luxor at the south end or Circus Circus/The Stratosphere at the north end) they pay out more.

It`s impossible not to have a blast in Vegas - enjoy it!

& then there`s grand kids, making 36 years in total.

I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.

If you`re going with mates or your partner, have a competition on how many Elvis` you can spot, and when you spot one, instead of saying, `there`s one`, in your Elvis impression sing Viva Las Vegas.

I was going to mention the Grand Canyon Skywalk
But at $82 a pop You would surly go for the helicopter flight.

If you can afford it try to see "Love" at the Mirage - a great show, particularly if you like the Beatles. Avoid the more expensive seats as the cheaper ones have better views.

Have fun.
