Even though I have replaced nearly all my videos with dvds, I still like to keep the videos. There`s something in the nostalgia factor - I like having something the way it was when it originally came out (I still love/keep all my old vinyl too!). I love some of the video packaging - like the big boxed James Bond movies and the original Star Wars movies featuring the original artwork and packaging. Anyone else?
Ok, I`ll get me coat... ;)

I have bought a few VHS recordings recently.. but only for my degree and ony because there is no dvd version
We still have a wall of videos. We won`t be selling them and replacing on DVD cos that would cost too much.
my gf still buys the occasional video if it`s a film we don`t own, but the video is really cheap in a charity shop, or Cash Converters.
I can`t remember last time we watch a bought video though. Actually I can. Escape from LA was on TV, but I hadn`t seen escape from NY, my gf bought that years ago, so we watched the bought NY video, and then escape from LA on TV and wished we hadn`t ;)

I still have a few VHS videos that you can`t get on DVD still such as the original theatrical version Blade Runner.

My library has most of mine, together with some going to the local hospice shop. I replaced them with dvd`s and if theirs no DVD out copyed the old ones without protection onto DVD (ok, technically wrong, but I`m not selling the tapes, so my conscious is clear) . I only have left the copy protected ones still not on dvd. :)
I gonna kill that firefox spellchecker, and enjoy doing it.

... If found, please return this person to the insane asylum
Nope slowly working our way through clearing them out to local charities, seems a waste just to take them to the dump after ahem backing up.
I quite like the Helpdesk people in a benevolent (as opposed to malevolent) way as they do some valuable work in preventing us being inundated by every halfwit who can work a phone.

RE: Anyone still collect videos...?
A few days back, I bought a VHS at our local Blockie. 1994 vintage copy of Star Wars (not Star Wars: A New Hope, but Star Wars.) Although it has the substituted crawl (the one with Episode 4 - A New Hope appended), it`s closer to the 1977 cut than anything else I`ve got.

I`ve got that one I think Mark. Bought it years back - what colour is the cover?
Oh my God, Bear is driving! How can that be?
