It`s when you tune in to Simon Mayo`s friday afternoon film reviews slot and you find a BBC pillock telling you is show is cancelled and the ryder cup ( yawn) is on until 11 o`clock tonight,no doubt the BBC numpties drawn straws to see who gets the free holidays to America. >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

I never used to watch golf but I started watching it after the Ryder cup about 5 or 6 years ago. The golf played today by Monty,Westwood and the rest has been absolutely brilliant. Backs to the wall at times in certain cases but still fantastic entertainment. Long way to go but 6.5 to 1.5 after the first day is a great start.

In my opinion this is the best Sporting event in the world. To see the players going through the full range of emotions and then seeing them sitting at the edge of greens willing the rest of the team on is brilliant. And the tension on the last day of singles is not good for you. Although after yesterday`s display, hopefully not too bad this year ;-) Well played guys. Especially Monty :D

I do wonder sometimes if Americans are either blind or just stupid, the number of times you see a waywood tee shot by a US player in the Ryder Cup, and some patriotic idiot always shouts out, "Yeaahh!" or "Go in the hole" when it so blatantly isn`t going anywhere but through the green or in a bunker. :)
