Probably more to do with the actual movement of money, after all notes don`t stay in my possession long enough for anyone to keep tabs on me. :D

You can`t exactly go into Maplins/ Radio Shack and buy RFID chips off the shelf, so I`d say it`s more likely another measure to piddle on the counterfeiter`s barbecue. 8)

I had a 5 euro note left from a trip to Dublin, just nuked it ! guess what? yep it has blown the rfid!
Interesting.

I found it interesting that to make `absolutely` sure that all notes had chips in them, they decided to nuke $1000. Then had the audacity to take it back to the bank to get it replaced (apparently you can do that over there)

How the hell did they explain that? "Oh, I had the money in the back pocket of my jeans when I dried them in the microwave. Can i have a new pair of Levi`s too?"

Surely say, 10 notes would have been sufficient evidence?

What was I telling you guys just last week?

RFID has the potential of being detected by a police car moving up and down your road detailing "everything" you have in your house. I really mean everything and in about a second.
The chips contain a 96-bit identification tag allowing some 79228162514264337593543950336 different items to be categorised.
Everthing you buy in the future, from newspapers to toothbrushes will have these chip.
Other information stored on these chips will include your name and where you purchased the products, enabling the police-state to keep track of all your movements.

Interesting that the old microwave trick wont work with these new bills. They`re on to us!
The chips arent to stop money laundering imho.
The US created BCCI to launder their CIA drug money in the first place. I`d hardly think they really would want their liquid assets reduced.

Thats only because Maplin/Tandy stock f*ck all. PIC chip manufacturers, Microchip(c) sell dedicated chips and code is freely available for various microcontrollers chips.
The antennae can be constructed from next to nothing.

Funny, just as I am typing this I am listening to Alex Jones Radio broadcast from 1st March. In the next few days he will be doing an experiment, on line, on how to destroy these new chips.
