I know they have been very popular with some listeners but they have never really appealed to me. Sorry to any of their fans, but I'm glad someone else is being given a slot between the 1pm and 3pm slot.

Must be said I did enjoy there show, bit of a downer really! :/ NO NEEEEEED!

agreed. He`s such a Chris Moyles wannabe. Scott will probably end up playing the Leeds goals on his show! :D

Apparently its going to be Colin Murray and Edith Bowman. Their weekend show is pretty good, and Radio1 signed up another DJ duo a few weeks back who had already been touted as their weekend replacements

Mark & Lard are without any doubt my favourite DJs, although they`ve never been quite the same since they moved from the 10-12 evening slot. Having said that, items like "Missing Words" and "Beat The Clock" make me laugh out loud on a daily basis.

A great partnership with humour, integrity and a superb taste in music. I`ll be very sorry to see them go... :(

Saw the Shirehorses at Keele Uni back in 2000 while I was there doing some purely incidental postgraduate stuff.

The lads (old enough to be my parents) are pure class. Always have knocked Moyles (it`s shocking/disgusting/littered with profanity therefore it must be funny) out of the water.

Sad news, but at least they can look back on a show with real pride.

Featuring: animal sanctuary, cheesy chart challenge, one man and his frog, shirehorses, the spice is right, true or false and of course my favourite, fat harry white.

radio 2 rocks...........ok maybe not rocks but it does trundle along quite amusingly... ;) 8)

tis a sad day when radio one thinks that getting rid of mark and lard will make them GAIN listeners... er..... no, you`ve just lost half your listening audience.

DOH!

apparently radio ones base in now the under 25`s.

they want to appeal to the more "urban" listener.
