Bloody sacrilege!!!!!

Just heard a `song` on TOTP. >:( >:(
Scissor Sisters? Absolutely destroying the classic Floyd track Comfortably Numb.
Sounded like some dodgy europop combination of Erasure and the Bee Gees.

Is nothing sacred?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!!!! >:( >:(

We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..

Yup... must admit I thought it was the BeeGees. It`s vile, simply vile.

As for J lo and her theiving of the theme from Miidnight Cowboy and that god awful Boogie pimps effort, in the words of My dear old Mum in law, " I can`t get my breath! "

Apparently Scissor Sisters are pretty big in the US... though I`ve heard the track and thought it was absolute s***. Sara Cox (who is crap I must add) was raving about it on Radio1 this week.

I`m a huge fan of the original, and while I`m not a huge fan of the cover, at least it is very much different from the original.

They haven`t tried to copy the guitar solo (which would have been impossible to do well anyway), and to be honest it`s a catchy enough disco track for a drunken night in a club.

Not the sort of thing I`d listen to, but there is far, far worse stuff around

Scissor Sisters. great vision, nice cover, even if it is a bit camp.

Stop living in the past and embrace new music. The scissor sisters are an interesting band that should be listened to.

I agree - great version, and you must remember most people that will be dancing to it and buying it will not have large pink floyd collections :) me included

Oh yes, Sara Cox with her `teaunes`. Last one`s was especially bad, a rap artist you can`t understand, interspersed with a 17-year old singing about how she she aspires to be `done in a van` by a `dude`. Would have sounded ok, but the chorus was so flat and repetitive, you actually started to feel nauseus after the 15th verse

er Hello, NEW music, how is covering an old classic NEW?? have I missed somethin?

Time these pretend popstars started to write their own songs methinks, and stop
gleaning fame and fortune from someone elses catalogue. ENOUGH SAID >:(

Calm yourselves folks.
Floyd will still be here and being played long after this lot have been shoving their heads in boxes of bugs in the Aussie outback.
