Matsui refuse to beleive that there are any dvd`s that the 110 is incompatible with, sofar i have found that the three james bond films
OHMSS, LALD, FYEO and the film Supernova and a friend tried Like it is on my player and it would not work either,

can all on the internet let me know what DVD`s your player has problems with and what ones won`t work at all.

i am trying to compile a list of problems and how many people have encountered them.

I`ve ben pleased with my Matsui, plays anything I put into it, but A Fighter`s Blues doesn`t seem to quite hack it on the machine. I`ve had to resort to the PS2 and PC to watch the disc.

The Matsui 110 was a machine with more problems than you can shake a remote at, having difficulty handling chapter transitions and layer changes as well as incompatibility with a large number of disks including, but not restricted to: Bond films after Live and Let Die, Thomas Crown Affair, Toy Story Disk 3, Sixth Sense, American Beauty, Fight Club, possibly Gladiator.

As people have had varied luck with their Matsui, I suspect build quality may be an issue.

(I traded mine in for a Grundig GDV210A after two machines that behaved identically from entirely different production batches).

The following problems as well as all of the above were also encountered by me.

League of Gentlemen - Menus
Blair witch Project.- menus again
The Ipcress File - scrambled
Zombie Flesh Eaters - menus

5.1 interruptions in sound, layer change pauses, jolting chapter breaks. Skipping CD tracks, Irregular loading, unexplained crashes. They were just my Region 2 problems. Are you interested in Region 1s , Iguessed not but if you are let me know. The list is long.

Before I upgraded I only had one problem with the Matsui. This related to sound glitches on The Matrix. I took the machine back to Currys (a different one than I bought it from) and demonstrated the fault. Bloke said I could either have my money back or upgrade. Seeing as it was a stop gap, until I could get something better, I upgraded. I`m on my fourth machine now and of the four the Matsui wasn`t the most problematic. That honour went to the Wharfedale.
