What hours do you work?

chewie (Elite) posted this on Wednesday, 23rd July 2003, 09:56

Title says it all. I`m just wondering because I currently work 4 days on 4 days off, alternating from 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am.

Basically, 12 hours days are a killer (but I get payed a lot :D ).

So what hours do you work?
or if you are currently out of work for whatever reason, what hours did you work?

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, no matter how wrong it is ;-)

contracted from 9 - 5, but usually in at 7.30 ish (easier to get through London at that time - 12 mile trip in, 12 miles back) and then off at 4.45 / 5, with not much of a lunch break, as I get bored. Means i`m up at 6 at the latest 5 days a week - pain in the arse as I like me lie-ins (or should that be lies-in?)

Don`t get paid nearly enough.

7.30-5.00, with 4 hours every second saturday. Travelling to work isn`t that hard, I can literally see the roof of my workplace from my front room

The shop is open 10 till 6 six days a week. But then there is the paperwork (books, VAT, etc), Deliveries and installs (thats my sundays and evenings gone) and at the moment full time security gaurd at the shop. On day it will be worth it though, I hope :/

All the best,

I`m on flexible hours mon-fri but general do 8.30am to 4pm with half hour lunch.

It takes me 1hr 10min to drive to work, not really used to it after in the past having just a 10 minute work to work, how long does it take others?

Depending on your viewpoint I either work for zero hours or 21 out of 24 ( even I sleep occasionally ) :(
