I do know where Miles is coming from. These are the vans that cut you up at roundabouts and crossroads, pull out in front of you and overtake you...yet we never complain, cos we`re British...

They have these company-endorsed stickers on the back with a phone number to report the hapless hick at the steering wheel cos they farted at a stop sign.

Yeah, shop `em all...

Yeah, I know the stickers but he wants to "start a campaign" and "phone and say how WELL these cars were driven"...

C`mon miles, you`ve gotta have better things to do.

Maybe he just arrived back on a bus from Iraq and needs something new to protest about.

I`m reminded of a Lenny henry bit where he says you never get pulled over by the police and get praised for your driving skills.

"Listen man, the way you just took that corner was wicked man..."

it was funny at the time...

My dad complained about a lorry driver that forced him to perform an emergency stop whilst on a roundabout, he heard no more.

I (almost) feel sorry for the guys with those stickers on the backs of their vehicles. I understand why they`re there (company wants to look good by giving motorists some comeback if their drivers aren`t driving responsibly). However, it`s another British trait that we hardly ever give praise for anything. So the only feedback these companies will ever get about their drivers will be negative. I guess if they drove well in the first place there`d be no calls at all though, so I won`t feel *too* bad for them!

My company uses such numbers, if a driver gets more than 4(I think) complaints he will be banned from driving a company vehicle for a week or so, so it is in there own interest to be careful, if you do complain you have to be rather specific about the complaint as in where it happened, what time, reg of the vehicle. I think they do take note of praise aswell but how many times would that happen?

Phone my company to complain about my drivers and leave your address. I`ll give it to the driver involved and see if he gives a bollox. Driving vans and trucks around London isn`t fun, you get cars passing big enough gaps down narrow streets and expect a lorry or van to fit in a space a micra would struggle to park in so they can fly by. Oh yeah ! Most vehicles dont have reversing cameras, but you can bet most of my drivers could blindly reverse half a mile using there instincts and knowledge quicker better than some fukwits in a car with allround visibility.
Just my tup` worth.
Have a nice day.
