Page 1 of Recommend me a Wii Game

My sons 11th birthday at the weekend and I`m going shopping tonight to grab him some bits and pieces. As I`m stuck behind my works firewall I can`t check out what are the top Wii games so am after a few suggestions.

He`s already got Wii Sports, Super Mario Galaxy, Wii Play, SSX and Rayman Raving Rabbits - can anyone suggest anything else?

What type of games are you in to?

Really would like something that uses the Wii controllers effectively as he already has a PS2. He loves Lego Star Wars and Fifa Street on his PS2 and is into Mario on his DS.

Is FIFA08 any good?

i dont have it myself yet though - cant put down guitar hero!

Zack and Wiki thats is supposed to be one of the best games out there at the moment.

Alternatively Mario Strikers is good multiplayer so you can pla ywith him.

For wii mote games something like Mario and Sonic Olympics, WarioWare or Cooking Mama etc will let you do all sorts with the wii remote

I bought Super Mario Galaxy and really can`t get on with it. It actually makes me dizzy playing it.
That was the only game I bought for the Wii :D

You want to get SJ & Viewtiful Mark`s input on this one I think.

Without doubt get Wario Smooth Moves.. He`ll love it. :)

We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..

I love FIFA08 on the Wii. You don`t get the Manager Mode (damn lazy EA) but the game really works well with the remote I reckon. I always buy the footie games, from PES 2 to 6, and FIFA 2004 to present, and I reckon 08 is the best one yet. Plays better and feels better, and you can`t whack scoring a goal with the remote for sheer visceral fun!

Obviously the games mentioned above are great too, but I think I`m the only one here with FIFA on the Wii, so I thought I`d chip in. Hope it helps you anyway.

Another vote for Wario Ware here. If it doesn`t get you laughing like a loon whilst playing then check your pulse - quickly!
Also agree with Zak and Wiki, although again only from what I`ve read about it. I haven`t picked up a copy yet, but intend to soon.

Thansk for the replies guys. In the end we got Paper Mario and Mario Smash soccer. I`ll keep my eyes open for Fifa as well.
