Gaming and Consoles Forum
hi
thinking about swapping my ps2 for a gamecube, need to play mario.then again i need to play gta3 vice city when it comes out.please help me decide what to do,what do you game heads out there think ?
I cant believe you`ve started a post like this.... prepare for war!!!!
Anwyay MY OPINION... Ive got both a Cube and a PS2. I would keep with the PS2 - Mario is over rated, and he`s got a dodgy tosh.
Theres loads coming out for the PS2 besides Vice City in the coming months..... (Eg: Metal Gear Substance, Devil May Cry 2, Pro Evo 2, Terminator, Soul Calibar 2, Tomb Raider, etc....etc...).
If you like games like Vice City - wait for "The Getaway" as well (also PS2) - its going to be similar in style - maybe even better????
If I had to choose between the 2, the PS2 would win hands down, yeah, the Cube (and Xbox) are technically better, but at the moment the games (out and coming) on the PS2 win.
Keep it, you know it makes sense!
truth be told, I have no `verbal` preference, if someone was to ask me which I preferred, I`d have to say that both formats have their strengths and weaknesses which separate them in different ways.
HOWEVER....
a few months ago, I won a gamecube in a competition, along with star wars rogue leader and wave race. I played them a few times each, but I just can`t be arsed to play either of them again. I mean, I`m looking at my cube now, and I just can`t be bothered to even wipe the dust off it when I`ve got GTA3 and Ico sitting near my PS2.
I don`t know what point I`m trying to make, but whatever it was, there it is.
I really want a GC but you`d be mad to get rid of your PS2 go for both sell your grandmother!
for less then 200 quid you could have maz, do you really need to sell that PS2?
I agree,
Currys/PCWorld are doing GC, Second (Joytech) controller, 64 meg memory card with mario cheats pre-programmed, Mario Sunshine, and a disc holder for around 180 notes. Bought it meself - but still wouldn`t part with my PS2.
I thulpisth that. Keep yer PS2.
I would keep both... Bad news on the Terminator front though, looks good sounds good..plays like a pig on rollor skates on a ice rink. You run into a room IE Holding up as you are facing behing the character, then for some reason the next view is say facing the character you still have to pull up, so then left and right are the wrong way round, and the camera angles are fixed.....i was more than disapointed.
Get both! Console prices are getting cheaper, and so are games if you know where to look (eg Play). I reckon that pretty soon (early next year) you`ll be able to buy all 3 major consoles for the same price as the Xbox and PS2 at launch. In other words, £300. Bargaintastic!
