Interesting, fun in places, drawn out in others.

Deepfake de-ageing works for the most part.

But... the finale. Almost unforgivably ridiculous. Almost.

Yep. There's a very good chance it may very well be a 'head in hands' moment.

I know the world Indy inhabits has an element of the fantastical (wrath of god manifesting and melting nazis, Shiva manifesting and setting rocks on fire. Immortality via the medium of a magic cup but you can't pop to the shops, and yes, aliens)

But the leap this film takes for the finale is alluded to by the very nature of the plot, but when it's on screen... may be a stretch too far, even for Indy

I think that's why I kind of dislike a little of the end of the third film and the complete end of the fourth, I always saw him as not a believer in the supernatural (or alien) but when push came to shove he hedged his bets.

Technically in the end of the first film he doesn't actually witness anything supernatural (as he has his eyes closed) and in the second he is a little dubious about the powers the priest has.

I kind of liked him best in that tightrope between Mulder and Scully.

4th Dec, and there's a steelbook listed at Zavvi and HMV, 4k ultra, but not sure if you get "normal" blu ray at that price as well, as i'd need that :(

They are riding this franchise to death, with such an old Indiana.

In the next movie it will be Indiana Bones, and I mean bones :D

Some actors just do not know when to quit. Talking of which....
Have you seen Star Trek Picard series. He is so old in it the action scene is when he has to climb a flight of stairs and try to keep breathing LOL. Its a bummer getting old, is'int it.
