Universal Blu Ray Augmented Reality Editions
So guys, whats the deal with these then?? Im guessing some of our more tech minded can give me the details in words I can understand
RE: Universal Blu Ray Augmented Reality Editions
Point your smartphone at the cover and you get some sort of 3D animation on your phone, from what I read on the Amazon details for one.
RE: Universal Blu Ray Augmented Reality Editions
That`s exactly what it is, Download the app for your iPhone or Smartphone, point the camera at the cover and a different image appears on your phone.
Easiest way to see them all, download the app, nip into a store, scan the covers to see what the fuss is about...
Jimbo : oÞ
"There`s that word again... is there a problem with the Earth`s gravitational pull in the future?"
RE: Universal Blu Ray Augmented Reality Editions
The app will be programmed to read certain markers on the BluRay box to gauge the angle and distance from box to camera. When you move the box or camera you get a 3d effect on the camera. This is what your phone would see if you had the Star Trek version.

RE: Universal Blu Ray Augmented Reality Editions
If this is anything like every other marketing augmented reality thingy, you are missing a 10 second wonder, if that. I know that isn`t much consolation to you, but it really is rubbish. :/

sendit has them at £4.99 for anyone whos interested?
RE: Universal Blu Ray Augmented Reality Editions
Don`t Sendit charge £1.99 p&p for every disc?
I wouldn`t mind if it was per order but the last time I was going to place an order with them, they wanted over £20 for all the discs I had placed in the basket. I then priced the same order with Amazon, order was about £4 cheaper with free shipping. Placed the order with Amazon, not been back to Sendit since.
