Page 1 of Deadwood- Worth a watch?
DVDs & Films Forum
Me and the missus have been flying through things recently and I think that Deadwood is one she`d really enjoy.
I personally only watched Season 1 and then never got around to finishing?
My only concern is I know it never ended properly and the original idea was to have tv movies to tie everything up, which obviously never happened.
Does it end very annoyingly, leaving loads open?
Edit- Bugger wrong forum, meant to be in television,

It does end a bit annoyingly...but I`d say it was still worth a watch.
TBH the ending now is a bit hazy (been years now) but i loved the show, the other half did struggle with the language tbh but stuck with it due to characters mainly, would deffo recommend it. Ian McShane was fantastic in this and the later Kings that was cancelled
I really enjoyed it.
As I remember, it was a shame it didn`t get finished properly, but I don`t think it ended on a cliffhanger.
Yes, left with a strong setup for season 4 that never happened. But every bit still such great TV, definitely revisit it.

Getting near the end of the series, Ian McShanes character was talking 'flowery gobbly gook', and could not make head or tail of what the ell he was saying.

Deadwood script still being written, True Detective also on hold to make sure the third series is good before they go ahead with it (though I liked S2).

I enjoyed it initially, but when Ian McShane's characters language got so flowery that it was impossible to understand. I no longer liked it.
God knows what he was saying, because it was not Cowboy language.
EDIT ,,,,,,just noticed I said the same thing above, back in January, DOH!
Definitely not going to see any film version.
