I anticipate that it will be terrible.
I also anticipate that Zachary Quinto will be lauded for his performace as spock purely because he is just as bad an actor as Leonard Nimoy.

i hope it fires some new enthusiasm into the trek universe, i really do.....
but i`m not gonna get my hopes up, so hopefully i`ll be very pleasantly surprised :) BUT... either way, i`ll go see it at the cinema... cos if this flops, i reckon it`ll be the last nail in the coffin......

Sulu and Scotty at the top, Chekov bottom right, McCoy bottom left.

Or, in the real world..
Johnathan Cho (American Pie, Harold from the Harold & Kumar films)
Simon Pegg (no explanation needed)
Karl Urban (Lord of the Rings, Doom, Bourne Supremacy)
Anton Yelchin (Lots of little bits, most notable Alpha Dog and a very good turn in an episode of Criminal Minds)
Personally, I`m looking forward to it as much as the others, but can sum it up thusly. The last Star Trek Movie I paid to see at the cinema was First Contact.

Anton Yelchin guy was pretty good in Charlie Bartlett, and is also playing Kyle Reese in the new Terminator film. Karl Urban looks more like Superman in that picture, at least Brandon Routh Superman. And Scotty doesn`t look like Pegg, looks fatter or something, just I don`t think I`d have guessed that was Pegg if I didn`t already know he was in this.

I think I`m actually more looking forward to seeing John Cho take on a serious role. Hell of a place to start

I didn`t recognise it as Simon Pegg.
I also assumed that the one you`ve said was Zachary Quinto :/
It`s interesting the posters don`t mention Star Trek. If that was in a cinema or something I personally might guess it`s Star Trek because I`m aware that it`s a JJ Abraham`s new film, but think that most people that I know wouldn`t have a clue.
Hasn`t this film got a very big budget aswell? Just curious, as obviously there is a very large fanbase but will it attract people who`ve never seen any Star Trek movies/shows (or people who have and didn`t like it?).
I seem to think it`s a bit of similar to Superman Returns, in that it`ll be a "hard sell" to the general public.
I`ve never seen Star Trek or any of the films, so I`m personally at present thinking that I "might" go see it for free with my Cineworld card but that would be dependent on reviews, but have the feeling that no matter what there will be lot of references etc which will go straight over my head.
I do have a year to watch through some of the films (can`t see myself doing the tv shows), but don`t know if I will end up.
If I do I understand the first ones a bit rubbish and Wrath of Khan (which is 2?) is better. And the general theory is the even numbered ones are good with the odds being not so good?

SERIOUSLY??????????? NEVER???????? Where have u been :(:(
On a side note, didnt think they met Chekov at basic training ;) he didnt appear till 2nd season :)
The 1st one is for me very underrated, its a good place to start as it reintroduces the characters so if u havent seen any then start here, 2 is awsome and id pretty much agree with the even numbers with my fav apart from 2 being the voyage home just for the humour
