The Number 23 - Jim Carrey
About a man who reads a book entitled `The Number 23` and it begins to consume his life, finding the number 23 in every aspect of his own life. It`s obviously derived from the nutjobs who have been finding 9/11 in phone numbers for the last 4 years, but by god this looks good, and Jim looks like the role fits him better than Truman

RE: The Number 23 - Jim Carrey
Totally agree - I watched the trail last night and it does look pretty darned fab. :D
they probably read Robert Anton Wilsons Illuminati trilogy where 23 is a cosmic number that turns up everywhere be it as 23 or by summing various numbers up. Its also a holy number in Discordianism which turns up in the illuminati books.
If you read the dark tower books by stephen king he rips this off by having 19 a significant number.
Was thinking of watching this today as I was intrigued by the trailer but the fact there hasn`t been much talk about it worried me.
Just checked the Total Film review and doesn`t look like it`s very good

Just how long you stay on board the Number 23 to W***sville depends on your stomach for increasingly fruity conspiracy and coincidence (and saxophone players).
Anyone seen it yet?

No, but my brother was telling me last night that two of his work colleagues had separately told him to avoid it - they`d both been to see it the previous evening (separately) and both wished they hadn`t.
Shame really, I thought the trailers looked pretty interesting.

If the ending of the film isn`t the same as I guessed from watching the trailer, I`ll be amazed.

For Burroughs fans, they`ll know that the number 23 appears in much of his (and Brion Gysin`s) work. :D
