Planet of the Apes R2 Boxset - Anamorphic?
Can anyone confirm this is the case. I know the US one was not Anamorphic, but it will be a bonus if our one is!

Sorry to sound like a real bozzo guys, I aint got a clue what `Anamorphic` is.
Can some please explain it to me (in the simplest possible terms) please?

Thanks in advance.

Ok, in very simple terms, anamorphic video is really cool if you have a widescreen tv. It removes the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen (espcially useful in 2.35:1 ratio films) by squashing and stretching the picture, but maintaining the correct `shape` of elements on screen.
RE: Planet of the Apes R2 Boxset - Anamorphic?
thats weird, i have a 32" widescreen TV and when i watch films with 2:85:1 ratio and there is still black bars on top and bottem when watching films with Anamorphic widescreen.
RE: Planet of the Apes R2 Boxset - Anamorphic?
I think you still would get black bars, as widescreen TV`s are framed at roughly 1.85 to 1, so if you get a film that`s 2.85 to 1, you`ll still get the bars (unless you zoom the picture!).
