Band of Brothers tin

Robert Terwilliger (Elite) posted this on Monday, 30th May 2005, 12:25

has this set been re issued?? Ive not seen it about in a long time (apart from ebay) yet in recent weeks its appeared all over the highstreet (and supermarkets) prices vary from £41.99 (in stock and only £1 more than the standard set) at play.com to around £50 at other places, both online and on the highstreet....some online retailers list one tin box as deleted but another one as in stock (all UK reg 2 copies)

just curious as its one of those sets Ive never got round to buying and the tin one always semed to be tricky to find at a reasonable price...

I`m not sure. I`m also really keen on getting it, and saw it in Asda for £38 about two weeks ago. Wish I`d got it now - do you know which high street stores are doing it for the cheapest?

I bought it when it was re-issued as a regular box (no tin) for £50... been regretting it ever since. I was thinking about selling it though, and upgrading to this. :D

Damn...its never been that cheap in my local ASDA was it deff the tin version?? ..its £45.97 there now....how do I know?...cos I just bought it today when I was shopping ..I know I could have saved a few quid buying online or maybe shopping around a bit but I though what the hell....Ive not made an impulse buy for a while so I might as well make it this...and Im well chuffed with it, Ive just got to the end of the 3rd episode and Im hooked...I can see this turning into a long night lol

I saw it in WHSmiths and HMV and they were both quite pricey...HMV`s was £55 if I recall...and WHSmiths was around the £50 mark thats why I grabbed the tin from ASDA (they had a few in stock) still odd to see it re appear after such a long time though...

Positive. It was in the sale and I picked it up and had a look at it - in reflection I should have bought it. >:(

I`ve got them all on DivX, and might watch one now - if I like it I may go for it on DVD. :D
