Please! Somebody stop him!

Just read here that Paul WS Anderson is to write and direct a remake of the cult classic `Death Race 2000`.

Now I quite like the idea of a remake of DR2000, but not with that talentless hack at the helm!! >:(

This (like AVP) is something that, in the right hands could turn out really well, but in the hands of Anderson will just be another run-of-the-mill, directing-by-numbers, flat, pointless bore-fest!

What we need is some kind of restraining order which prevents Anderson from going within 50 feet of a movie camera or something.

Time for us to save our pennys and use that Hitman post. :)

Oh god :( A remake of Death Race could be awesome, but there is no doubt in my mind that Anderson would royally f*** it up :o Lets face it you`ve got to be pretty talentless to make such a poor film starring two of the coolest monsters of modern cinema.

The only people who can update that movie is either Tony Scott or Michael Bay. IMO they are the king of car chases.

At least Uwe Boll didn`t get his hands on it... he`s off ruining all my favourite games instead!

I wonder if the Hitman site are doing a 2 for 1 any time soon. :D

John Frankenheimer did a pretty good job in Ronin

Talking car chases, Paul Greengrass did a pretty mean one in The Bourne Supremacy. Best chase/destruction scene I`ve seen in a long, long time, even beating stuff like Ronin/Matrix/Bad Boys 2/etc...

And Paul WS Anderson isn`t that bad a director, there are far worse. It`s just infuriating that he gets a lot of good projects with a lot of potential.

All projects are good and have a lot of potential, but in the wrong hands they can turn out to be very bad, so if Romero got his hands on Resident Evil he would of made it good, but Anderson got his hands on it and made it bad. If Cameron, Scott, or Fincher got their hands on Aliens Vs Predator they would of been good, but Anderson got his hands on it, and made it bad. So yes he is a bad writer and director.
