From what I can remember, George Lucas had the master copy of this destroyed. I`m pretty sure that there are a few surviving `very` rough copies in the States but would think that trying to track one down would prove almost impossible - although I could be wrong!

Mike, I think it`s like `Star Wars On Ice` except it`s in the summer....(sorry, cheap gag...)
Actually, I would also like to know what this `Holiday version` is all about - pray tell us more....

it was a one off tv show with many of the charactors from sw4 and also first introduced boba fett. it was a story based around chewbacca and his home planet of kaashyk. i think!

try that link for the Holiday special in it`s entirety. can`t be bothered my self, but u might find it interesting. aparently there are many bootlegs going about. Like the site says, Mr Lucas will send the boys around and destroy all the evidence.

I`ve just downloaded it from the above web site. It`s as bad as they say it was, with Carrie Fisher SINGING! and some rather dodgy special effects. No wonder Mr Lucas wants the tapes destroyed. David

I have got the full version on video!!! It`s extremeley camp, especially Mark Hamill made up so badly he looks like a girl. Probably one of the best things though, is the Boba Fett cartoon.
I talked to some bloke who owns one of the major Internet Star Wars websites, and offered a documentary to swap. The quality is very good considering its age, but it needs to be watched through an NTSC supported TV and video player. The bloke even stuck some ancient adverts for the toys which were shown on American TV and interviews from the time with cast members which were shown on US television.
I thought quite a few people had it, but I`m obviously mistaken. Hmmm... perhaps I should start a business copying it and selling it. Any takers?!
