Page 1 of The Pink Panther Collection
DVDs & Films Forum
Have never watched any of the films before, but this boxset interested me for some reason. At a a measly £23 at DVDSoon.com I thought about making an order. But have a couple of questions...
1.) Are the films actually any good, and is the boxset worth getting?
2.) What would the customs charges be if I were to order this?
Thanks for any help!
RE: The Pink Panther Collection
1) Yes they are - as long as you like slapstick.
2) £5.04 in import+VAT, £5-10 admin depending on carrier.

RE: The Pink Panther Collection
I knew they were slapstick, but just didn`t know if they were deemed as comedy classics or not. :D
So you think I`d be looking at £10 charge at customs? I think I`ll check to see the price of the UK release first.
The collection is brilliant. A marvellous treat. The picture quality is magnificent seeing as the movies are quite old. Classics? Most definetly. Its still a bargain at that price. I paid around £40 for mine on region 2.

Beware, the Region 1 version is missing some of the extras from the Region 2 version.
RE: The Pink Panther Collection
I`m not much of an extras man meself to be honest. I never usually bother watching them unless they`re worthwhile and its for a decent film in the first place.
Return of the Pink Panther is missing from the collection you will have to buy that one seperatly if you want it
It`s not the complete collection. Return is excluded because it`s owned by another studio; and Son and Curse don`t star Sellers, so they`re out.
I`d class the franchise as comedy classics - certainly they`re Sellers at his "best", and Blake Edwards definitely at his best. I`m very happy with my R2 set.
