If you want to wait, Anchor bay are releasing a Halloween boxset. Saw the advert in a magazine, but no detail about the release - sorry. You could try checking out their website though.

How can they call it the "Ultimate Collection" when they leave out Halloween 6 - The Curse Of Michael Myers?! (couldn`t/shouldn`t they have left out "Season Of The Witch" instead!?)

No.6 was a decent entry in the series - and after watching the "cliffhanger" ending to film 5, you would definitely want to see it (it was also the late Donald Pleasance last ever perfomance!). There is even a different version of this movie, known as Halloween 666, which is quite different........

And also Halloween: Ressurection will be missing too, so i`m guessing there may be another edition or a better, more packed R1 version some time next year.

Here`s hoping that Halloween II is a better print than was first released. Looked like it had been copied from a VHS that had been watched a few hundred times.

And how can they call it a best of the series while including Halloweens 4 to 6? I`m sorry but they were rubbish.

It could be due to copyright that prevents curse from being from the series, classic example look at the Dir Hard trilogy

Ive now found out That Halloween is coming out again next year with even more extras apparently the DVD is going to knock your socks off and Ive read a review for a directors cut of Halloween 6 (or was it 5?) thats supposed to be vastly superior to the available edition what do you bet that Id buy the halloween movies and these better ones will come out...I mean look at EVIL DEAD the book of dead is bound to come out soon with `within the woods` that we all wanted....should I wait to buy the halloweens (in case these versions come out)

I would, as they say all good things will come for those who wait.

I haven`t bought Evil Dead because I know they`ll release it again with within the woods, so the same will be with Halloween, cos I also noticed Universal was going to release Halloween II with loads of extras but they pulled the extras out of the dvd and released it bare assed, so I guess they`re going to release that next year to coinside or rather CASH IN with the 25th aniversary dvd release of Halloween.

It was Halloween 6:curse of micheal Myers and it is regarded as the producers cut before the studios re cut it in to that peice of s***e that is out today.
