Missed out on Lion King BD and Cars 2 BD - everything went so fast - or should I say the popular things went fast. Other stuff was gash.

And I didn`t fancy a TV this week.

Nothing huge... picked up Saints Row 3 for the Xbox for £24. Happy with that!

I got Mad Men season 4 blu-ray from the Amazon USA black Friday deals for £10 delivered.
I didn`t see anything I wanted from the UK site, but only looked once or twice so what I didn`t see I won`t miss.

was following it via hotuk deals, and a few deals when posted from amazon, ppl would then post links to other sites selling items cheaper!

Bought the box (12) non alcoholic ginger beer & The Flying Scotsman Hornby train set .
Wanted the Toshiba laptop & had it in my basket, but whilst searching prices it came to the end & I pressed at the last second but it was too late so tried again yesterday but was 500 in the queue so missed it. I also got one of the SD cards.

I got the BD Batman Anthology for £10.17 so was chuffed with that, only bothered with the first 2 and possibly the third, but they`re £8 separately so it makes for a cheap xmas present :) nothing else that really bothered me all week, some really random items in there at times!

Picked up a razor and 16gb SD Card, just missed MW3 :(

I forgot :( And probably just as well since I don`t need anything atm (that I can afford anyway!).

I did get Psychonaughts from Steam for £2.99 though!

Batman Anthology bluray for me too. Left it at work though so annoyed I can`t watch it this weekend.
Plus it is £9:99 anyway now...

The vast majority of the Amazon uk black friday event was frankly crap, there were a few gems amongst it but most if not all of them were only available during 8-5 when Im at work and dont have the luxury of a job that allows me to spend my working day online shopping! 

The only things that stood out for me were the Avatar steelbook, Scarface cigar box Blu-ray for £15 (again while I was at work so no chance) I would have grabbed the Lion King If I hadnt bought it last week, and there was a nice `Bridesmaids` box set with a toy dog but it was DVD, if it was a Blu-ray Id have grabbed it for my sister, so all in all a pretty poor event, unless you like socks, kitchen items, reality tv series boxsets, watches or oddly, breast pumps and baby bottles

I made a comment on the amazon facebook page about the deals being nothing special and got loads of abuse form folks saying I should be grateful and not knock the `great deals` and anyhow Black Friday is an American thing so I should be thankful Amazon UK are even having a sale....now dont get me wrong, Im a fan of Amazon, they have good prices, very quick delivery, well packaged items etc, BUT if your gonna embrace the `Black Friday` concept at least make the deals comparable to the amazing offers they have in the states, where were the killer deals on DVD/Blu-ray`s? where were the cheap box sets (there were some star trek ones but Im not a trekkie) where were the kindle deals? 

If your gonna call it Black Friday, it should be up there with the US or just call it a pre Christmas sale, the term Black Friday brings with it certain expectations following stories from friends in the US, what we got was `Black Friday lite`....


Hopefully Boxing day brings the goods....
