Page 1 of SIMPSONS, FUTURAMA AND FAMILY GUY BOX SETS DIRT CHEAP!

Play are currently taking orders for the "promotional versions" (dont know if these are identical to the normal versions, but if anyone can enlighten me I`d appreciate it) of these box sets. Simpsons and Futurama series` are £15.99 and Family guy is only £10.99. Seems a great deal to me! :)

The `promotional versions` seem to be identical. It looks like play are just doing that so they can differentiate between the £30 versions and the cheap ones. The reason they are keeping the £30 versions is that the cheap ones are not `released` until the 29th of March. So if you want the sets soon then they allow you to still buy them for £30.

It`s annoying as hell that they can`t just offer them cheap just now, but I am sure the fox marketing whizzes have reasons for holding it until the end of March.

With regards to the family guy boxsets - I think you will find R1 to be a much better deal all round(more commentaries, discs and so on).

Futurama looks excellent value for money with the exception of S1, which is overpriced for the content on it.

All in all, good prices(and a couple of weeks after my birthday so I have an excuse to buy them).

I got series 2 and 3 of Futurama from DVDCrave (R4, but the copyright screens have one for UK & Ireland, so I guess it`s R2 as well) recently - about £18 delivered. The box is much nicer than the R2 Series 1 I got - a lot more solid - don`t know if that`s the same for R2 versions of series 2+

yeah i saw these prmoted a few days back, great deal, ive ordered all of the futurama and simpsons as i already have the family guy ones. they did a promotional version recently with the freinds box sets if i recall, so if anyone bought them sets from play they could let us know.
