Could someone who has bought this player tell me if they have watched a whole film without it pixelating (even a small amount) at least once? I have had 2 from Argos and both pixelate a small amount now and then through any dvd that ive tried although none have been R2 that ive tried. I replay the same scene and its ok. Just wondered if its because of the hack but i cant see how. Just to add all the dvds are mint and play ok in other machines.

Cant believe nobodys mentioned about the Medion one at Somerfield & Kwik Save. Only £59.99 and comes with carry case etc. Great little player and a bargain at that price. Thought this deserved a thread of its own so started one. :)

I think we are mixing 2 players up here. There is one for £199.75 inc vat but it doesnt look like a rebadged Cyberhome to me. That looks to me to be the more expensive one on the site selling for £233.82 inc vat. Maybe its just me! :D

Those who received the free dvd was it in with Lion King or was it packaged seperately? I never got the free dvd even tho the email notifying me of despatch said it was sent as well.

I have this and its a cracking little system. However if theres no dvd player with it i dont advise you to get it because i dont think its possible to connect a different dvd player to it to obtain DTS/5.1 as theres no digital or coaxal input and the dvd player with it connects via a ribbon type cable. I might be wrong though but i hope that helps.

The Ring Virus(HK IFL release) 5.1 or 2.0?

Hi,
Anybody got this Hong Kong release of the Korean version of The Ring and if so what audio is it? It says 5.1 on the back cover but both audio tracks are 2.0. Cheers.

I bought the R3 version of Donnie Darko a while back and it went straight back. No extras, poor sound ( even though its 5.1) when compared to the R1 version and a very poor pic which is LB. Probably the narrowest pic ive seen with the huge black bars above and below the pic. Personally i hate that. If your a fan you should invest a bit more and get the R1 version instead. £5.49 with link and voucher.

Anybody have Disneys Dinosaur DVD?(A problem with)

I have the single disc version of this and at the start of chapter 25 im unable to pause the film or even fast forward for about 30 seconds. Anybody else notice this or is it just mine? On checking it further i cant pause the disc whenever the icon comes on screen when watching the film with the behind the scenes footage turned on. Maybe this has something to do with it as if found out that an icon appears at the start of chapter 25. Any thoughts?

Of course you can get them cheaper using the money off links or using their Hong Kong site. According to dddhouse.com Hard Boiled is and i quote "Digitally Remastering from HD Master". Ive not seen this on any other dvd release but the pic quality seems very poor to me with numerous film artefacts. Advertised as anamorphic as well which i know is supposed to be a good thing but can anybody tell me exactly what that means? Cheers.

Just to repeat myself from another thread ive ordered from them 5 times recently. All my orders have been processed within 1-3 days and ive received all orders within 4 days from posting with 1 order in an incredible 2 days! On the import tax issue they only mark the price of the dvd`s and not the price of p&p on the customs form(on all my orders anyway). Ive ordered 4 dvd`s at a time no problem but i make sure the cost of them is below HK$225 about £18.

What do you mean WAS £5 NOW £2.72? Am i missing something? Its always been around £5 from dddhouse when you add p&p. Nevertheless its a bargain when compared to what people are willing to pay for it from ebay!

Can anybody who has this release tell me what their pic quality is like. Mine has numerous annoying film artifacts and accompanying these in some instances are crackles in the sound. As the dvd itself is perfect im assuming its just got a poor transfer and they are all like this but if not im gonna send it back. Any help would me much appreciated.

I compared them using the pics on these pages http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htforum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=112569 & http://www.bttf.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=9;t=001052 I know these comparisons are with the laser disc version but im assuming the re-framed version would be similar. However the version from Ezydvd is just the same as the wrongly framed one.

BTTF Trilogy from Ezydvd re-framed version.

Hi has anyone else got this from Ezydvd which was available about a week ago? I was told by them it was the new correctly framed version but ive compared 2 scenes (one scene is the one near the beginning where the Doc presses the button on Martys jacket) from this versions BTTF2 with an incorrectly framed one and it looks identical to me! Looks like they are just getting rid of the old version and thats why its cheap but i could be wrong.
