RE: For Everyone who plays Mp3s on their DVD Player

Didn`t work on my Aiwa 370. Didn`t bother checking the Scan as other have already tried and failed, and I forgot about trying my PC :¬o (I`ve already deleted it and written over the CD-RW I used!)

RE: For Everyone who plays Mp3s on their DVD Player

IT does say in the readme what this program is:

MP3Yam is a tool which can make BMP´s for the Yamakawa MP3/DVD Player.

Doesn`t say for `any` DVD player. If I can get it to write (having probs at the moment with this program) then I`ll give it a go on my PC, Aiwa and Scan players.

RE: Scan SC2000 MP3 audio out of sync

My Aiwa 370`s digital (I use coax - haven`t tried digital) and analogue (Scart) audio outs are very slightly out pf sync too. It`s not a Scan only thing.

RE: Tesco and LG 3000, any good? info neeed quick please

Hi penyeKz,

My brother`s thinking of getting one of these today or tomorrow - what was the hack you used? Is it the same as the Aiwa 370`s one?

Cheers!

RE: Scan SC2000 & AV6

Hi Rob,

1) I`ve found that on my setup (Aiwa 370 & Creative/Cambride DTT2500 DD5.1 speakers) that I also have a very slight delay (enough to cause echo effects like you describe) if I compare the TV`s output to the Digital decoded output.

2) I see this too, so I guess it`s not specific to your setup.

3) What if you don`t use the TV as the centre channel (you shouldn`t anyway, as the TV will also have the Left and Right components of the sound)

4) Yep - I get this too on layer changes. There`s nothing you can do about it.

Hope this helps!

Cheers,

-SteveC-

RE: What player do you have, so I can work out the which players have sold the most.

Me - Aiwa 370
Parent`s - My Old Scan SC-2000
Me - also my PC & Sony Vaio notebook are DVD capable
My brother - uses his PC connected to TV for watching all his films

RE: Anyone know where I can pick up an Aiwa 370?

No I`m not - I cancelled that order as I managed to get my local Comet to sell me their display model. One simple hack later, and I can officially confirm that the AIWA 370 ROCKS!!!!! ;¬)

RE: Anybody know where to buy an LG3350e?

Dabs told me earlier today that they`re getting them in Monday morning.

Just spoken to Comet sales advisor Re: Aiwa 370

And was told that they have to sell the display models as the aiwa has now been discontinued...

RE: Have Tandy gone bust????

I heard that Tandy stores will all be shut down or turned into carphone warehouse stores, bar a handful of the most profitable stores. (On TheRegister a week or so back)

RE: Where have all the Wharfedale 750(s) gone

My parent`s 750s was playing up and so we contacts tesco online (we bought it off their website) and they told us that they`re not getting any more in and they have none to replace ours with so they gave us a refund instead.

RE: Anyone know where I can pick up an Aiwa 370?

I agree - I`m not that desperate for it! ;¬)

Anyway, I`m ordering a LG3350 off Dabs instead now.

Cheers!

RE: Scan SC2000 not too bad for mp3, but ...

I`ve had one since beginning on November - and I haven`t been anywhere moaning... I`d say it`s safe to get one!

The only problem I`ve ever seen is lip sync after unpausing or skipping through a film. Hit stop and play and it resumes back where it left off and no sync probs!

RE: Anyone know where I can pick up an Aiwa 370?

Hmmm... is it worth the trip to ipswich? I`m in southend, essex. I`ll see if they`ve got any at comet online store first.

Thanks!

Anyone know where I can pick up an Aiwa 370?

My local comet have sold out of `em...

Anyone?

RE: Scan Firmware (Take 2)

Thanks, I got the firmware after all.
I had to write the CD-RW using CDRWIN as (as has been found before) nero 5 didn`t work and my easy cd creator decided to die on me. Now I`ve just got to give the macrovision test a whirl.

RE: Scan Firmware (Take 2)

I haven`t got it yet...
Thanks for trying!
(Check your mail)

RE: Scan Firmware (Take 2)

According to the secret menu, I have VERSON>>Ver2510

Is that too old? I bought the player on November 10th.

And if anyone ever gets it, I`d love a copy too! wsrepooc[at]ten.enoenil

Scan Firmware (Take 2)

Right, let`s see if this can be replied without any un-useful outbursts..

Does anyone have an `older` (like more than a couple of months) SC-2000 player and have upgraded the firmware to the latest (204?). If so, did it do anything interesting? (Like disable macrovision).

If it worked fine, and didn`t kill the machine :¬) could someone email it to me? ( wsrepooc[at]ten.enoenil )

Cheers!
