Just bought one for 149 pounds. Seems pretty good. The box/manual doesn`t say vcd/mp3 playback but I can see a vcd and mp3 indicator on the player itself.

Does anyone know if this player can play mp3 or vcds? I tried player a couple of vcds and just got a disc error msg.
So, is my player faulty or the machine just doesn`t play.

And finally, whats the diff between the 3000, 3200, and 3350? I know the 3350 has a built in decoder but is that it?

Oh, the remote hack works on this player.

Sammy how many players are you planning to buy? Every time you post it`s about a different player!

Hi penyeKz,

My brother`s thinking of getting one of these today or tomorrow - what was the hack you used? Is it the same as the Aiwa 370`s one?

Cheers!

just to reply, i`am currently lookin for my 3rd player in the space of a week. I had the LG 3000e, which was a quality player but i want to buy R1 DVDs so multi-regional is a must. I got the Samsung 511 next, was a fairly good machine, picture not as good as the LG but sound was better plus it hacked within 10 minutes, problem was that the drive was extremly loud when playing DVD`s so it had to go back. Now i`am told that all samsungs do that so i`am after another dvd. Thikin bout the LG 3200 as it has good reviews from mags plus only 160 quid sounds a bargain if the hack works to make it regional free. Anyone bought a LG 3200 recently and can comfirm that the hack does still work? Was thinkin bout the LG 3350e as it has a built in 5.1 decoder, but i have a pro-logic hi-fi and sound was very impressive with 5.1 so i don`t think it justifys the extra price for my requirements. sorry to gone a bit but i just wanted to let people know that i don`t keep buying these machines for fun!!!

My mate has a LG3200e. It is region hackable, and he is very pleased with it. Main difference between the 3200e and the 3350 is that the 3350 can also play MP3`s.
