Page 1 of Scan SC2000 MP3 audio out of sync
Hardware Forum
We have recently purchased the SC2000 with v2.06. I have linked up house audio via cat 5 and use composite out /phono audio out to cat 5 panels. The main link to tv is by RGB scart and digital (tv has built in Dolby digital). I have noticed when playing MP3 discs, the audio from the phonos trails that fed to the tv by approx 0.5 seconds.
I tried a dvd disc and did not find the same time lapse (if any).
Can anyone advise what is causing this and is there a cure. I want to maintain digital sound out to tv.
thanks

RE: Scan SC2000 MP3 audio out of sync
Hmm, interesting! All I can say is you`re right, there is most definitely a time difference between the digital out & analogue outs when playing MP3, every other format appears `in-sync`. This may be fixed in v2.08 firmware (I seem to remember there being an MP3 related fix in that version) but I would wait until the `latest & greatest` firmware is released in the near future.
If I get time I`ll test v2.11 & v2.08 over the weekend....unless anyone else wants to volunteer !

My Aiwa 370`s digital (I use coax - haven`t tried digital) and analogue (Scart) audio outs are very slightly out pf sync too. It`s not a Scan only thing.
